Considered by some as the top 2028 prospect in the DMV, the 6'8" Avery keyed the Vikings in all facets in a double-double effort that also included 8 blocks. Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1956052' first='Brian' last='Poore'] led Old Mill with a game-high 20 points.    One of the most talented freshmen in the country, Avery was dominant for stretches while wreaking havoc all over the court with his size, athleticism, skill, motor, and feel. He truly showed a bit of everything while stuffing the stat sheet with 16 points, 13 rebounds, 8 blocks, and 5 assists. He got himself going in transition, where there's truly no limit to how good he can be, before establishing himself in the halfcourt as an efficient finisher and playmaker both inside and out. Avery was a game-plan-wrecker on defense with his ability to protect the rim while also closing out to the perimeter and tracking guards off the bounce. He knocked down a smooth corner 3 for good measure. There's already not much Avery can't do on the court, and the sky is truly the limit for him if he consistently keeps his motor up like it was tonight.     A nice surprise, Poore displayed a balanced skillset while pacing his team throughout. He shows a polished skill level and mature pace in pursuit of his spots in the halfcourt, with a number of crafty counters if his initial move is cut off. Mostly a smooth operator, Poore also boasts deceptive bounce and physicality as a finisher at the rim. He flashed a smooth jumper from range, and also looks to play with good overall toughness and poise. College coaches will want to see how he makes his teammates better in less of a score-first role, but there's a clear role for his offensive ability at the next level.     Pineda acted as the main complement to to Avery, operating all over the floor as a versatile scoring and playmaking forward. He showed consistent shotmaking touch from all levels while routinely working into soft spots of the defense for efficient looks. Pineda also shows flashes of ballhandling and passing feel while acting as a release valve for his guards. His versatility is his best attribute at the high school level, but it's the pure shotmaking at his size that could intrigue scholarship-level coaches in time despite a somewhat unorthodox attack.     It didn't come with a massive statistical output, but Daugherty showed a nice skillset that should translate to the college level. He's primarily a shooter, with textbook form and a high release into a smoothly-rotating ball. He shows strong IQ and a budding skill level as a secondary ballhandler. In hopes of a scholarship look, he'll likely have to continue developing as a ballhandler and as a shooter off the bounce.     Mitchell caught the eye as the primary ballhandler and dribble-drive threat for the victors. While a bit undersized, he made a steady impact with his ball pressure and creation for teammates. He showed resilience while battling through injury to stay on the floor for his team. Also a quarterback on the football field, he should surely find his way onto a college hoops roster should he so choose, with pure point guards being fewer and further between with each passing year.
