CCS 2027 Newcomers Preparing for Play-Offs

The Central Coast Section Play-Offs are set to begin this week. Here new prospects from the Class of 2027 who'll be a part of the action, for some it will their first play-off game on the varsity. They have been steady contributors to their teams this season.      Krishnan comes off the bench mostly, his presence is felt early and often. The long wing type is aggressively trying to score when he gets the ball. He'll use his dribble from different angles to attack the paint for short jumpers, and contact layups, he can score inside. He's shot ready from the corner for 3's, or baseline drives. He got offensive rebounds for put back points. He'll make the extra pass. He'll use his length to distract jump shooters.     He's on the verge of establishing himself as the prospect who has to be accounted for out along the 3point line. We won't label him a shooter just yet, but he can knock down more 3's then he misses if left open. He was one of the top 3pt shooters in the Santa Cruz Coast League with 12.5pts a game. He has good ball handling, and passing skills, he can get into the paint, not a lot of wasted dribbles.     He'll start or come off the bench, either way he's a contributor. He's doing things that gets him playing time. Working the boards on both ends, defending his position, he might get a steal and dunk one. He has some tools on offense to work with. We saw him handle in transition looking for the assist or go all the way. He can shoots 3's. His best days are ahead.     He's a quality ball handler, he passes with vision seeing the whole court in transition. He gets the ball to the right guys in position to shoot, or drive to the basket. He has good post entry, and bounce passes. He does a good job of settling the offense in half-court sets, waiting screens, and for plays to develop. He can drive and finish with floaters, and paint jumpers. He's an alert defender, might get a steal and make the long pass up.     He's a good ball handling guard with excellent vision, and passing skills. He moves the ball around the perimeter, and up court. He found a couple of cutters for assists with good inbound passes. He has foot speed and a few moves to get by defenders, and into the paint for points.     A high IQ prospect, with a good understanding of what he can do on the court. He's a guard that can shoot 3's from all the key spots for a shooter. He's constantly roaming the perimeter for open spots. His mates know he's got a good chance to make open shots. He's a good ball handler, and ball mover, not a lot of wasted dribbles.
