Rising Prospects That You Will Want to Keep Track Of

These rising prospects that will be playing in the MADE Hoops circuit this summer will be names you will want to keep up with throughout the AAU season. I was able to attend the South Winter Circuit this month which featured prospects from different areas of the country. I'm confident these prospects will catch other eyes from scouts this summer as well.    Judah Van Ewijk is an electric guard that excels at attacking the basket getting his points in high percentage areas offensively. On the majority of the Oakland Soldiers Jr EYBL offensive possessions, he was the main initiator distributing the ball to his teammates and taking advantage of his opportunities to score. In fast break opportunities with the ball in his hands he breaks down his defenders well on his way to laying the ball up with spin moves, dribble combinations and contorting his body. He is a solid defender on the ball that also excels in the passing lanes showing his anticipation well on multiple occasions. Judah's aggressive play style sets him apart from a lot of other players his age.     Quintus Sugarman's playmaking was great in the half court and fast break opportunities throughout the weekend. Almost every pass he made lead to his teammates scoring. Quintus plays at a good pace offensively not letting opposing defenders rush him with the ball in his hands. Along with his playmaking he makes good reads offensively not forcing shots when given the opportunity to score. Throughout the game I can tell he is very coachable and executes plays well running the point guard responsibilities. Quintus is a player with a good IQ for his position so far which will take him far in his basketball career.     Mason Reid is a great hustler giving 100% effort on both ends of the floor especially defensively. Throughout the games I watched him play he took many charges sacrificing his body which is very unique as I don't see too many prospects taking charges these days. Mason is very quick flying around getting steals in passing lanes and from opposing ball handlers. Offensively he fills the lanes well on fast break opportunities which translated into easy points for himself. With the ball in his hands, he set his teammates up well for wide open shots from all over the floor. On the perimeter he showed he can shoot from range hitting a couple of those opportunities off the dribble and off the catch spotting up. If he keeps up this level of play, he will be a well-known prospect.     [player_tooltip player_id='2767880' first='London' last='Jackson'] is a 6'3 forward that impressed me with how well he impacted both ends of the floor at the Houston MADE Hoops tournament. Offensively he shoots outside of the perimeter with supreme confidence knocking those shots down feet away from the three-point line at times. Due to his size and athleticism, he used it well getting to the basket all weekend. Along with his ability to score efficiently he passed the ball well to his teammates setting them up for open shots in different areas of the floor. Defensively he covers a lot of ground against opposing players due to this wingspan and size. London gets steals in passing lanes and moves his feet well defensively. I honestly can see London being a top player in his class as I believe he has a bright future ahead of him. London's name will be out more if he continues this level of play.     Will Beckett is a rebounding machine on both sides of the floor which caught my eye at the Houston MADE Hoops tournament. Standing at 6'5 he uses his height to snatch rebounds at a high level as I watched him grab multiple throughout his games. Offensively he has a great touch around the rim finishing well in that area with the opportunities that he got. Along with his touch around the rim he can step out in the mid-range and perimeter making shots in those areas as well. Defensively he does majority of his anchoring in the paint but can block perimeter shots when needed. With his play style and upside Will has a bright future ahead as he graduates high school in 2030.
