Public High School Standouts

These recent public high school standouts deserve a shout out staying to play at their hometown public high schools in an area filled with talent. These dudes filled the stat sheets up scoring, rebounding, steals, assists and blocks or a combination of the aforementioned. These players deserve to find a home on a college team someday. Each one of these players have tons of talent and were so fun to watch.    He is as impressive as advertised on both ends of the floor. He gets to his spots on the offensive side with ease. He has great understanding when to change the pace of his dribble to gain an advantage for his teams' offense. The other team used four different defenders to alter his offensive scoring abilities and that didn't make a difference as he scored at will. Defensively he gets his hands on the ball with tips and blocked shots. He stays low on defense which helps to create havoc for whomever he covers.     This kid will be special with ability to play both ends of the floor. Great at reading plays on defense and what the offense it trying to accomplish. Active defensive hands leading to steal after steal. On the offensive side of the ball he will be a great scorer and facilitator. Explosive to the basket with strong hard takes. A true floor general trying to time his pace. Great handles where at times looks like he will fall over but a strong lower half keeping his dribble alive.     A do it all player grabbing boards, scoring and getting to 50/50 balls. As a freshman really stepped up to keep his team in the game after missing key veterans on their team. He takes care of the basketball with his strong athletic moves to the basket and through contact. I can see this kid starting next fall for his team.     Above average handles and is calm under pressure. Shooter from all three phases, capable of taking over the game. A true leader on this team with a high upside definitely deserves to be able to play somewhere next year whether a post grad year or in college. A tough opponent to play against making for nightmare matchups.     Mid-range and long-distance shooter. Has handles to help relieve pressure off the starting point guard. Had some really nice hard tough drives even a one-handed layup with decent hangtime. He makes it hard for the defense to knock him off balance and to get to his spots on the floor. Moves fantastic on the continuity offense his team runs.     Finishes through contact with his athletic tight end prototype body. Strong kid and a strong defender with multiple blocks. He proves to be close to double doubles on a nightly basis with a couple blocks.     Shoots well from deep and a excellent free throw shooter. An above average passer with his great vision and anticipating everything that is happening around him. He understands pacing in the offense when he has the numbers to push the ball and not. He runs the floor well and with the ball has a tremendously quick first step. Has a variety of moves to counter what the defense is trying to accomplish.     A very high motor attacking the class relentlessly. An above average passer within the paint and tight spaces. Good decision making whether to shoot or pass when being surrounded. A double double machine. I am very interested in which school he picks next year to play in college.
