A thrilling overtime victory was fueled by Johnson as these two powerhouse programs did not disappoint. One of the top wing scorers in Kentucky, Johnson did an excellent job using his burst to get to the rim and he used his size and hangtime to avoid shot blockers and finish past shot blockers. Johnson prefers to attack going right off the pick and roll, wanting to get a head of steam at the rim or stopping on a dime for a mid-range pull-up. At the end of the game, Johnson blocked a shot to seal the victory in overtime.

One of the top pure point guards in Kentucky's 2026 class, McGillis can pass the rock all over the court. A lead guard who makes quick decisions, doesn't let the ball stick and can make the no-look pass to fool the defense. Add in soft touch on floaters and pull-ups and McGillis is a very talented offensive point guard who can score it or set up his teammates. You'll be hearing a lot more about McGillis this summer as his recruitment should start to take shape.

Few programs in southeast Ohio are as successful year in and year out as the Warren Warriors and when you add an elite point guard like Stadelman to the mix, you have the chance to make a very deep playoff run. After a back and forth first half, Stadelman took over in the second half by masterfully breaking the Meigs zone press time and time again. A quick point guard who can get where he needs to off the bounce, Stadelman was getting to the rim at will and pushing the pace in transition to get Warren much easier baskets than Meigs. Throw in three 3-pointers and Stadelman had his fingerprints all over this win.

When I mentioned Warren being able to break the press and get easy layups, it was usually Lupardus who was the beneficiary of easy looks in the paint. He did his part to score by throwing some pump-fakes to get the defense to jump, playing through contact and using soft touch at the rim. Having a guy under the hoop who can score over taller rim protectors is so valuable and Lupardus had a very productive game for Warren as they got a signature home victory.
