This afternoon I did some coverage of the last slate of games at DePaul Prep's Steve Pappas Shootout. Here's a look at some of my most notable standouts from the first game between Benet and Stevenson

[player_tooltip player_id='2105376' first='Colin' last='Stack'] - Benet

The junior center is now listed at 7'2". seemed unstoppable for much of the game. Started the game off strong with an alley-top finish and had another one towards the end of the opening quarter. Won every board in his area while blocking numerous shots down low. Even made some nice assists. His ability to separate himself on the block has greatly improved since the last time I watched him.

[player_tooltip player_id='2105390' first='Jayden' last='Wright'] - Benet

Benet's 2026 PG looks like a seasoned veteran on the floor today. Forced numerous turnovers in the beginning of the game which led to lots of transition opportunities. Also showed great vision in the open floor. Seemed to be a play ahead of everyone else out there. Deep 3-pointer helped seal the win.

[player_tooltip player_id='1598658' first='Blake' last='Fagbemi'] - Benet

An underrated athlete with blazing speed up the floor. Getting simeslf in the right positions to make buckets and grab rebounds he doesn't need to get. Showed good footwork around the perimeter as the game went on. Big play in the 3rd quarter with a spin-move to break off a defender for an easy layup. Never backed down after Stevenson went on a run. Burying a contested 3-pointer and finding stack down low right away. Best play came in transition where he posterized a Stevenson player while drawing a foul. Incredible overall showing.

[player_tooltip player_id='1440697' first='Atticus' last='Richmond'] - Stevenson

Stevenson's 6'8" F had another strong showing this afternoon. Make the most out of his play despite being outsized against Stack. Great vision with the ball inside. Generating lots of assist chances throughout the contest. Also stretched the floor for multiple 3-pointers at the top of the key. Very promising prospect

[player_tooltip player_id='1552481' first='Rocco' last='Pagliocca'] - Stevenson

Pagliocca did a lot of good things this afternoon. Buried an NBA-range 3-pointer in the 2nd quarter and another contested layup before that. Chased after every reboundn and looked to push the pace in transition. Tipped a pass away from stack later on which would have given Benet an easy 2 points. Very mobile player around the floor on the offensive end. Brings tons of experience.
