Teams of the Month

Michael: Defiance: Currently 8-0 with their marquee victory coming over Toledo St Francis. Also won on a buzzer beater at Ottawa Glandorf. Have games against Lima Central Catholic and Lima Shawnee in January.

Tj: Strongsville: Coach Sapara and company are currently sitting at 6-0 and have big wins over Nordonia, Medina and Chaminade-Julienne. [player_tooltip player_id='1708713' first='Josh' last='Byers'] could very well be the most underrated senior in Northeast Ohio.

Players of the Month

Michael: [player_tooltip player_id='2405956' first='Andrew' last='Hoerner'], Miamisburg: Hoerner currently leads the GWOC in scoring and rebounding at 24.4 points per game and 11.6 rebounds per game, a feat he achieved as a junior as well. Hoerner is also second in the conference with 1.9 blocks per game. Miamisburg is 4-0 in GWOC play, every other team has at least 2 conference losses.

Tj: [player_tooltip player_id='1705956' first='Xavier' last='McKinney'], Reynoldsburg: Reynoldsburg currently sits at 8-0 despite playing an early season gauntlet thus far. They've knocked off Whitmer, Trotwood Madison, St. Ignatius, and Cincinnati Princeton. McKinney has seemed to get better on a weekly basis and his emergence, on both sides of the ball, has been worth noting. He oozes with confidence, has become a more reliable shooter from deep, and his versatility as an on-ball creator could prove to be the difference for them come postseason.
