Wapahani 43 Delta 38

This game was very low scoring with a slow, methodical pace through three quarters. Both teams play a pretty deliberate style, are disciplined defensively, and certainly aren't afraid to control the tempo. However, despite the lower scoring, Wapahani was still able to build a double-digit lead going into the fourth quarter. Based on how the game had gone to that point it seemed liked their 27-15 advantage was likely insurmountable. Delta proved to not go away quietly though.

[player_tooltip player_id='2797662' first='Ryan' last='Lynch'] connected on a three-point shot off of an out of bounds underneath play and also hit all three free throws after being fouled on a three-point shot. Bronson Edwards continued to do the dirty work around the basket and scored a couple inside. [player_tooltip player_id='1539482' first='Jordan' last='Furney'] hit a pair of big shots as well. Ultimately, the Golden Eagles came from down nine with 45 seconds left to having two different shots in the air to tie the game in the final seconds. However, the Raiders of Wapahani held on to win 43-38.

Wapahani, ranked #2 in the Prep Hoops Indiana Class 2A Poll moved to 11-0 on the season with victory. Meanwhile, Delta fell to 9-3. Junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1561131' first='Camden' last='Bell'] scored 13 points to lead the Raiders while classmate [player_tooltip player_id='2046168' first='Eli' last='Andrews'] added 11 points and 8 rebounds. Bronson Edwards finished with 9 points and 11 rebounds in the loss for Delta. [player_tooltip player_id='1539482' first='Jordan' last='Furney'] also scored 9 points.

Yorktown 66 Wes-Del 50

The first quarter of this one was a fun shot-making display between Yorktown's Ephraim Daugherty and Wes-Del's [player_tooltip player_id='1749329' first='Josiah' last='Love']. Those two traded buckets scoring 11 and 7 points respectively as the Tigers held an 18-15 lead after the opening quarter. Big man Ryan Burkholder took over in the second quarter dominating the glass and scoring around the basket to increase Yorktown's advantage to 36-28 at the halftime break. Love stayed hot for Wes-Del pouring in 16 points between the second and third quarters alone to keep the Warriors within striking distance, but the game proved to be just a bit too long for them. Ultimately, Yorktown pulled away and won 66-50 to advance to the Delaware County Tournament Semifinals.

Ephraim Daugherty scored 17 points for the Tigers while Ryan Burkholder added 14 points and 8 rebounds. [player_tooltip player_id='1749329' first='Josiah' last='Love'] finished with 23 points to lead all scorers along with 6 rebounds. [player_tooltip player_id='2816751' first='Julian' last='Carpenter'] added 12 points for the Warriors in the loss.
