Classes 3A-1A consists of smaller schools but there is no shortage of talent. Here are 10 of the top small school standouts in New Mexico:

[player_tooltip player_id='2373606' first='Jevon' last='Aguilar'], Hagerman: Aguilar is enjoying an outstanding all-around season for the Bobcats, who have been off since Mid-December and return to action on Thursday. Aguilar is averaging 20.9 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists and nearly 3 steals per game.

Zeke De La O, Lordsburg: De La O has literally been a one-man gang for the Class 2A Mavericks as he is averaging 22.9 points (no other Lordsburg player is averaging more than 5.3 points) and 7.5 rebounds per game. Lordsburg recently won two straight games as they aim to get to the .500 mark. De La O is the top scorer in Class 2A.

[player_tooltip player_id='2693613' first='Zavin' last='Guck'], Cobre: The 6-foot-4 Guck is the state's top scorer with an average of 24.8 points per game. When you also consider he's averaging 12.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 3.4 steals and 2.5 blocks per game, you appreciate his all-around skills. His phenomenal performance has fueled Cobre's 8-4 start.

[player_tooltip player_id='2306011' first='Grady' last='Munson'], Gateway Christian: The Warriors are 8-2 heading into Thursday's intriguing battle against Fort Sumner/House (12-1). Munson deserves a fair share of the credit for Gateway Christian's hot start, averaging 19.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 3.4 steals per game. And he rarely comes off the floor (31.9 minutes per game)..

[player_tooltip player_id='2693644' first='Rylee' last='Pahl'], Cloudcroft: Pahl is one of the best players in Class 2A as he is averaging nearly 19 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals per game. Cloudcroft is playing .500 basketball (7-7) and looks to make some noise down the stretch.

[player_tooltip player_id='2839492' first='Pablo' last='Romero'], Springer: Just a freshman, Romero erupted for a state record SIXTEEN 3-pointers in last Saturday's huge Class 1A win over Reserve. Romero finished with a career high 48 points, more than doubling his previous career high of 23 points. Romero had an astounding 11 3-pointers in the 3rd quarter alone, establishing a new state record for most points (33) in one quarter.

Augustine Saiz, Ruidoso: The 6-foot-2 Saiz is averaging about a double-double every game for the Warriors, who are off to an encouraging start and take a 9-5 record into Thursday's battle against Jal. Saiz averages about 19 points and 10 rebounds per game, and is connecting on well over 50 percent of his shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='2714561' first='George' last='Smith'], Robertson: The Cardinals have won 12 straight games following Wednesday night's huge road victory at Bosque. Smith was a standout for Robertson on the gridiron in the fall and he's maintained that momentum into the winter months. Just a freshman, the 6-foot-0 Smith is averaging 17.6 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. Robertson is a major contender to play deep into March.

[player_tooltip player_id='2309741' first='Josiah' last='Wilson'], Bosque: Wilson, who's only a sophomore, is emerging as one of the top young players in Class 3A. He's scored in double figures in six of Bosque's last seven games and is currently averaging 14.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 3.3 steals per game, all team highs. Wilson's performance is the major reason Bosque is 9-3.

Mason Wallin/[player_tooltip player_id='1717249' first='Hayden' last='Bruhn'], Logan: Despite being a Class 1A school, un beaten Logan (9-0) is ranked No. 4 in the state overall by MaxPreps and most of the credit goes to the Dynamic Duo of Wallin and Bruhn. Together, they're averaging 38 points and 21 rebounds per game. The Longhorns are the favorites to win the 1A title, but their upcoming battles with district rival Fort Sumner/House will be must-watch basketball.
