We're a little more than halfway through the 2024-25 high school basketball season in Southern California which has given us plenty of time to see teams and players from across the region and make some additions, moves and changes to our senior class rankings. We added 27 new players to the list - which now stands at 200 ranked players - and below we break down the guards who made their debut.

[player_tooltip player_id='2111224' first='B.J.' last='Davis-Ray'] | JSerra

Davis-Ray enters the rankings at the No. 15 overall spot after transferring to JSerra from Duncanville in Texas. The 6-foot-6 off-guard has added a versatile piece to both ends of the floor for the Lions and his ability to put points on the board in a variety and create off the dribble for himself and teammates make JSerra a difficult team to defend. Davis-Ray is committed to SMU.

[player_tooltip player_id='2742225' first='Chris' last='Komin'] | St. John Bosco

Komin is one of the biggest stock-risers among seniors in the state and checks in at No. 29 in this update. The 6-foot-3 shooting guard sometimes gets lost in the shuffle while playing alongside so many talented players at Bosco but his impact is not to be understated. Komin is the perfect complement to his four and five-star teammates because he doesn't need to dominate the ball to impact the game. He's a lethal shooter off the catch who can also create for himself and teammates when needed.

[player_tooltip player_id='2746566' first='Jayden' last='Alexander'] | Sierra Canyon

Alexander is having a strong season though his name is often drowned out by the other talented Sierra Canyon prospects. The 6-foot-2 shooting guard is a high energy prospect whose ability to hit the open catch-and-shoot three is his best offensive attribute. Alexander's floor stretching ability has come in handy already this season and will be very important come playoff time. He checks in at No. 85.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630641' first='Tariq' last='Bridges'] | Millikan

Bridges was at St. Pius X for his first three seasons of high school ball and, after a brief transfer to Arizona-based Compass Prep, he made his way back to SoCal to Long Beach Millikan and re-enters the rankings mix in the region. Bridges has a strongly-built frame and, at 6-feet-4, possesses good size and shooting ability off the catch.

[player_tooltip player_id='2672247' first='Micah' last='Tannenbaum'] | Sherman Oaks Notre Dame

Tannenbaum is a great energy guy off the bench for the Knights and his ability to knock down open shots, get paint touches and kick off the bounce and up the tempo defensively make him a key part of Notre Dame's success. Tannenbaum has the speed and quickness laterally to speed up opponents and uses his quick hands to force guards into shaky decisions. The 6-foot-2 combo guard checks in at No. 96 in the region.

[player_tooltip player_id='2746573' first='Bobby' last='White'] | Brentwood

White is a pretty polished all-around combo guard with his main point of impact being his smooth jump shot from three-point range. White can knock down perimeter jumpers off the catch, off the bounce and on the move when using screens. In our viewings of him this season, the 6-foot-1 senior is also a smart and savvy playmaker/passer when he gets into the lane. White finds himself at No. 100 in this update.

[player_tooltip player_id='2742315' first='Staf' last='Yilmazturk'] | Anaheim Canyon

Yilmazturk has established himself as one of the best three-point shooters in Orange County and we are confident in saying that statement is extending into the region as a whole. The 5-foot-10 guard has deep perimeter shooting range off the catch and off the bounce and his ability to elevate on his shot makes it difficult to contest and close out to. Yilmazturk debuts at No. 107.
