More commonly in the last five years Tennessee produced true centers. Areas like Maryville, Williamson County, and the Memphis suburbs are churning out a sprinkling. Williamson County looks to be a great place to recruit bigs for the next five years too as the youth basketball infrastructure improves dependably.

is all of 6-foot-10, pushing 6-foot-11 before 2025 arrives. What makes Noel a college prospect? Well, the height. And then the work ethic. Noel is built like a fawn, a young basketball deer that obviously needs to “grow into his body” and yet he is modestly nimble on the floor against guys almost all 6+ inches shorter than him. Hunter is in the Tennessee Tiger basketball program. You can expect to hear a ton from him during the 16u AAU season this next spring/summer.
Highlights
Invariably the sophomore class introduces new names to PrepHoops.com/Tennessee throughout the year. Beyond the two already ranked sophomore center prospects the following players are compiling statistics worthy of monitoring.
Gavin Barton (Cumberland Gap)
Eli Hubbard (Sullivan East)
Jordan Mitchell (Boyd Buchanan)
Gavin Barton is averaging 7.7 rebounds per, while Eli Hubbard is pulling down 7.4 rebounds nightly. For Eli more than three of those rebounds per are offensive rebounds! Jordan Mitchell is just behind the pair at 7.0 rpg.
