He scored 20 points in a decisive victory over 5A West Monroe. With the physique of a Division 1 defensive lineman and the finesse of a skilled shooter, he exemplifies the traditional big man who was an absolute force in the paint throughout the game. A tenacious shot-blocker and defender, he moves with the agility of someone much smaller, showcasing exceptional footwork and lateral quickness. Tavon effectively converted on all passes from [player_tooltip player_id='2631046' first='Zyrell' last='Tillman'] and cleaned up any missed shots from Drew Cooper, securing key second-chance points. This trio will pose a significant challenge as the season progresses, with their big man creating major problems on the court and shining on the big stage. West Monroe is loaded with talent, and one of the key reasons they'll be a threat to any top team this season is because of Jahvion Pickens' grit, determination, and all-around game.
