Texas Jamboree: High IQ Guards

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The annual Texas Jamboree was a proving ground for many against high level competition taking place on the campus of Episcopal High School. The Saturday slate of games that was scheduled early to start off November on the right foot did not fail to impress and there were many stock rising players in attendance. He consistently distributed to open teammates for easy assists, knew how to change the pace of the game to benefit Kimball, and did not back down from tough competition. His aggressiveness on defense was one of the keys to his team winning this game and staying in the lead throughout the duration of the entire contest. Gray also knows how to use his speed and decision making to constantly beat defenders to his spots and score the ball for himself or create space for teammates to work with the ball in their hands. He had multiple opportunities to score off the pick and roll as the ballhandler and he made sure to take advantage of those moments. Young can score the ball inside and outside creating multiple problems for matchups guarding him and he knows how to set a hard screen to get the ballhandler free and able to make a play. Young displayed good IQ as well as he was able to make quick, split-second decisions and this led to his team dominating the offensive end of the game. He was also instrumental in getting some buckets from the perimeter on offense, hitting a couple threes and some midrange shots as well.
