REDONDO BEACH — Redondo Union high school and head coach Reggie Morris, Jr. played host to the annual Jordan Brand Take Flight Challenge over the weekend which featured top programs from Southern California, Arizona and Texas. We were in attendance for all eight games and below are some shooters who are under-the-radar when it comes to college recruitment.

Brayden Miner | Redondo Union

Miner is flying under the radar as an unsigned senior but he is quickly establishing himself as one of the best catch-and-shoot guys in the Southland. The 6-foot-1 guard knocked down five three-pointers in a big win over Corona Centennial and his fluid shooting mechanics, quick release and shot prep prior to the pass arriving al lend to his consistency from behind-the-arc.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630659' first='Isaiah' last='Carroll'] | Harvard-Westlake

Carroll is due for breakout season with an elevated role on one of the best teams in the state. The 6-foot-6 wing is the perfect compliment for the two Harvard-Westlake stars because of his ability to stretch the floor off-the-catch. The senior has an intriguing combination of size, length and athleticism and his fluidity and balance in catch-and-shoot situations opens up the floor for the rest of the Wolverines' team.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956522' first='Jackson' last='Haggins'] | Eastvale Roosevelt

With so much attention paid to Roosevelt's "Big Three" trio, Haggins becomes a sort of forgotten man by opponents and scouts. The 6-foot-1 junior seems to always come up with timely shots - especially in catch-and-shoot three-point situations when the defense is loaded up to stop Burries, Williamson and Walker. Haggins is a consistent deep-ball shooter, especially from the corners and steps up in crucial situations.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630656' first='Justyce' last='Lucero'] | Riverside Poly

When left open, Lucero has the ability fill it up quickly from three-point range. The 5-foot-10 senior has tight shooting mechanics, great balance off the catch and that leads to deep range and multiple spot consistency.

Perry Rainey | Windward

Rainey has entered the starting lineup as a senior and has made a major impact with his ability to stretch the floor off the catch. The 6-foot combo guard is a lights' out shooter when given time and space and his ability to knock down open three-point shots opens up driving lanes for his talented teammates.
