Regis Jesuit at Valley Christian Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On Saturday, December 14th I attended the match-up of 3A&nbsp;<strong>Valley Christian</strong>&nbsp;hosting a Colorado based team <strong>Regis Jesuit.</strong>&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A back and forth affair all game long and the home team got hot at the right time </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Here were the standouts&nbsp;</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Valley Christian won a tight one 74-69</strong>.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1379909' first='Carson' last='Grier'] Valley Christian</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A bigger sized point forward is a good ball handler and passer. He rebounds well in his area and scored 15 points. He scored with back door cuts, plus post footwork to score and grab some steals for layups.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1379910' first='Kyle' last='Grier'] Valley Christian&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the top shooting forwards in the senior class showed off in this game. He rattled in 7 3's with 25 points one by one including 6 in the first half. He gets the ball out of his hands in a blink of an eye off the catch or off the dribble. He also rebounds well in his area.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1900362' first='Colby' last='Jessup'] Valley Christian&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the top shooting lead guards in the junior class. He had six threes with parking lot range with a super quick release. He squares perfectly and lets it fly. He will also pull-up off the dribble from mid-range and score with reverse layups. He can slip in tough passes and will drive and kick it to his teammates. He scored 22 points and made it hard on his opponents defensively.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1764294' first='Eric' last='Fiedler'] Regis Jesuit&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A highly skilled face-up four-man is a good passer and will pour in threes. He is a plus rebounder in his area and has nice post footwork and will go after a board with a good vertical. He scored 20 points and you see why he is ranked 5th in the junior class of Colorado.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1497871' first='Lucas' last='Dickinson'] <strong>Regis Jesuit</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A good sized wing forward has some moves to utilize to score. He has a nice shooting stroke, when his feet are set from the three point line, and he is very crafty to score inside the paint. He scored 15 points. Dickinson committed to DIII <strong>Denison University</strong>.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1479352' first='Alec' last='Roumph'] <strong>Regis Jesuit</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A bigger combo scored 14 points. He can create his own offense off the dribble, score with fall aways from mid-range, lob layups and tough shots in traffic. He makes great reads to his teammates but he is more of a scorer. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2466514' first='Mason' last='Marshall'] Regis Jesuit&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A very athletic combo guard is a two-way player. He may be that coveted 3 and D type with collecting steals and deflections. He has plus athleticism and rebounds well for his size and he can hit an open three. He made some good reads for assists and scored 6 points.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Deion Cesario-Scott PF 6'5 2026 Regis Jesuit&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>An athletic high motored forward played who played with a brace on his knee yet he still was diving on the floor for loose balls and defending. He can face up to the three and score inside thru the contact.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
