The Wildcats entered Saturday night with a 4-2 record, through two nice wins came against Alabama-based teams. Of course, they still count, but they do not speak to the strength of LCHS relative to the rest of Tennessee. Wins against Riverdale and Battle Creek highlight their schedule so far.

Bedford is starting for his third consecutive season. [player_tooltip player_id='2368766' first='Alex' last='Bedford'] is clearing Lawrence County's best offensive player. He can score in so many different ways. The senior likes to establish his spot in the mid-range. With their active 2-3 zone, Richland challenged feeds to Bedford. Without consistent touches by their best scorer, Lawrence County struggled to score consistently.

Down 44-37 in the final minute, Bedford hit a deep wing three-pointer, which tugged the game a little closer, 44-40 Richland. with 14.0 seconds left. Richland held on, 48-40.

Wes Brewer and Colton Tucker were serviceable, but the offense really appeared stuck all night. Based on how constricting Richland defended it took special creativity or skill to earn high-quality shots up. And only Bedford had those two attributes tonight.
