[player_tooltip player_id='1766178' first='Jeremiah' last='Brooks'] (Greenwood HS) - First up on the standouts list from the Lakelands FCA Holiday Tournament is the Tournament MVP, [player_tooltip player_id='1766178' first='Jeremiah' last='Brooks']. Brooks put up 20 Points in Monday's Championship Game vs Emerald High School, the Eagles' third win over their cross-town rivals this season. He started off strongly, hitting his first two attempts from behind the arc followed by a nice reverse layup off a baseline drive. Jeremiah is a great shooter, but he also has a great handle, is a crafty finisher around the bucket, and can create havoc with good hands on the defensive end. He had 3 Steals and 4 Assists to go with his 20 Points on 3 3PM on Monday Night.

Beau Hite (Emerald HS) - Hite had a good game for the hosts in their loss in the Championship Game. He is a knockdown shooter from the outside, one that you must stay aware of connected to or he will make you pay. Beau stays very active without the ball, moving from corner to corner to make the defense think or cutting backdoor when the space opens up. Hite is also a handful in transition as he is often the first Eagle to leak out down the floor and he can fill the lane in plus situations. Beau finished with a game-high 26 Points with 5 3PM on his home floor.

Jasyiah Davis (Crescent HS) - I first watched Jasyiah in October at the Hardwood Inc. Fall League and while he was impressive then, he was even better today. Davis is averaging just under 10 Points Per Game so far this season but he does more than just score the ball when he's on the floor. He can play either position in the backcourt because of his ability to make plays for himself and others. In the Tiger's Third Place Matchup with Greenwood Christian, Jasyiah displayed a tight handle, key vision, an ability to finish through contact, and a good feel for where his teammates are when getting the ball into the paint. Davis finished with 15 Points and 4 Assists in Greenwood on Monday

[player_tooltip player_id='1806908' first='Ty' last='Kennedy'] (Greenwood Christian School) - [player_tooltip player_id='1806908' first='Ty' last='Kennedy'] left a good first impression on me at the Lakelands FCA Holiday Tournament. He is one of the Top Juniors in the SCISA Ranks, and Crescent was well prepared for their matchup with him coming out with frequent double teams. Although he didn't have much air room, particularly in the half court, when Kennedy did get a good look he scored often. Two physical attributes that stood are his speed, which helped him beat the defense down the floor, and his athleticsim, which helped him finish around the rim or earn second-chance points. Kennedy tallied 25 Points and 8 Rebounds in the loss to the Tigers.

[player_tooltip player_id='2643902' first='Terrence' last='Cartledge'] (McCormick HS) - Cartledge is a post player who impressed in Greenwood. He was dominant in the first half, going into the locker room already having a double-double and finishing the game with 14 Points, 12 Rebounds, and 4 Blocks after not being need much in the second half becacuse of McCormick's comfortable margin. Terrence had a size advantage in the paint and it was evident with his scoring near the basket, activity on the glass, and protecting of the paint. Cartledge was effective running high-low actions in the middle of Ninety Six's zone because he is a strong finisher and a great passer in the lane.

Jahmeer Myers (Saluda HS) - Saluda's Jahmeer Myers rounds out the standouts from Monday's games. He had a strong outing when it comes to scoring the ball, putting up 16 Points in their win over Ware Shoals in the first game of the day. Jahmeer was at his best when attacking the paint and showed a copule of nice scoring moves including a spin move and a euro step. He looked to be comfortable working around bodies in the paint and he is a good off-balance finisher. Myers was also active on the defensive end, blocking a pair of shots and hauling in several rebounds.
