The Warren Central Warriors have some of the more talented young prospects and one of them is 2027 guard [player_tooltip player_id='2267044' first='Kaleb' last='Elkins']. Elkins got some varsity time last season as a freshman at Lawrence North but has taken on an even bigger role during his sophomore campaign here at Warren Central. He is a super talented, left-handed guard that can play on or off of the ball. Just a guy that can fill up a stat sheet.

If you want to talk about one of our more underrated guards in the in-state 2025 class, [player_tooltip player_id='1297088' first='Marvin' last='Schindler'] would be at the top of that list. Like expected, he has been the leading guy for the Wildcats this season which is why they currently sit at 4-0 on the season. Schindler is a explosive, lighting quick, shot-making guard that can produce at a high level on the basketball floor. It will be fun to see him do his thing vs a talented Warren Central squad.

Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1297068' first='Julius' last='Gizzi'] gets a lot of the attention for New Pal, rightfully so, however this Dragons team is full of very talented players that hold their own. 6'3 forward [player_tooltip player_id='1539483' first='Ben' last='Slagley'] is certainly one of them. Through two games this season, Slagely has put 12.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists in those game. He is one of the better "do-it-all" type of players we have in the in-state 2025 class. An extremely versatile player, you can almost play him at any spot on the floor and he will produce with his passing ability, strength, handles and more.

One of the top overall prospects that will be in the Southport gym on Saturday is IU-Indy signee [player_tooltip player_id='1525678' first='Maguire' last='Mitchell']. It is safe to say at this point in the season, Mitchell has been the most consistent player for the Eagles. Through 4 games, Mitchell is averaging 17.3 points and 6.3 rebounds. We all know that Mitchell is one of the better shot makers we have in the state and this point because of that, he is probably the most important player on this Zionsville roster. The Eagles really need a win here, and Mitchell will be the guy to lead them to that if so.

One of the better "big man" prospects that will be in the gym at the FORUM Tipoff Classic is also on the team that is hosting the event, Southport. At 6'7", junior center [player_tooltip player_id='2252551' first='James' last='Kalala'] should really impress this weekend by what he can do on the floor in terms of his motor and athleticism. He is one of the best rim-running bigs in the state and has some of the strongest play around the rim you will find in the state. Right now, he averaging 9.7 points and 9.7 rebounds in three games.

It may not be too far of a stretch to say that [player_tooltip player_id='1565984' first='Keriawn' last='Berry'] may have the most upside and pure potential when it comes to the in-state 2026 class. The things that Berry does on the floor just screams D1 potential and given his size and skill level, he certainly is that. He has been outstanding for Avon this season with his 12.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game and brings an extra element of scoring and defense for them. Berry will be ion more radars at the D1 level sooner than later.
