<p>Thanksgiving week I attended five tournaments and one stand alone game for exactly 24 games and 48 different teams. The events I watched were <strong>Phoenix Union Coyote Classic</strong> at Central HS, <strong>Beyond Basketball Thanksgiving Basketball Tournament</strong> at Moon Valley, <strong>Millennium at Sandra Day O'Connor, Fear The Hop Tournament</strong> at Mesa HS, <strong>Sentinel Holiday Classic</strong> at Seton Catholic and Horizon Honors and lastly the <strong>LV8 Invitational</strong> at Chandler-Gilbert CC. <br></p>

<p>A scoring point guard is long and lean and can make some plays He is a good passer and has a smooth jumper. He can hit the three off the catch, he can split defenders with a tighter handle and has a nice first step to get to the cup. He is also an easy athlete to play above the rim on the break and will block shots on defense. </p>

<p>A scoring point guard has a pretty looking three point stroke. He has a picture perfect form and rises up. He has quick hands on defense to grab a steal, he is quick to get downhill and advanced court vision with his passes to make plays. </p>

<p>A lefty point guard has good pace to his game and can run the offense. He made a couple nice pocket passes to teammates. He scores with back door cuts, threes, he is good in transition and is aggressive on the glass to get himself to the free throw line. He is also quick on the ball defensively. </p>

<p>A scoring guard who is a catch and shoot gunner from the three point line. He is quick in the passing lanes as he scores layups in transition and takes long strides on the break sprinting up the court. A bench player who may get some more PT after his performance. </p>

<p>The sophomore point guard leads the way for the team in Prescott Valley. He looks to facilitate often with smart passes to teammates and good timing. He can also score with a burst getting downhill with either hand. </p>

<p>An undersized scoring point guard who is deceptively quick. He has a fast first step and burst to the basket. He uses the floater game and he is very quick with the ball in his hands. He likes to ball fake and get to the basket. He plays the passing lanes well and times the ball in the air for steals. </p>

<p>A combo guard with a thicker frame. He has a little shift in his handle and will create some offense for himself. He can get to the basket and score thru the contact plus pull-up off the dribble. He will make smart reads and play from the neck up.</p>

<p>A quick undersized point guard has real speed in the open court. He can dime his teammates and throw some ropes to his wings and forwards. He collects steals in bunches with his quick hands and feet. </p>

<p>A quick scoring combo guard has some speed and can shoot. He has deep three point range with a quick trigger. He is very confident with his shot and he will also drive and kick it to set up a teammate. It is hard to stay in front of him. </p>

<p>An undersized guard takes pressure off of Stubbs as much as he can. He is a good ball handler and can make shots from mid to the three point line. He has a quick spin move he can utilize and get to the basket. </p>

<p>A scrappy point guard who plays hard. He will dive on the floor and make an open shot. He collects a bunch of steals with his natural toughness and will hit an open three or score in transition. </p>

<p>A lead guard who can facilitate and score. He will score with off the dribble jumpers from mid to the three point line, he has the floater game after he blew by his defenders. He also can dime his teammates. </p>

<p>A true point guard who is looking to set up his teammates the entire game. He will throw the rock all over the court with either his left or right hand and handles ball pressure well. He sees the court and made some nice passes in traffic. </p>
