FCA I-85 Battleground Showcase: Georgia & Alabama Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 2024 FCA I-85 Battleground Showcase took place on Saturday, December 14th, at Franklin County High School in Franklin Springs, Georgia, featuring some of the top prospects and public schools from throughout the Southeast. There were five Georgia programs and one Alabama program in action at the event: Shiloh, Franklin County, Habersham Central, Langston Hughes, Newton, and Hueytown. He is a multi-sport athlete who did a great job of creating space throughout the game. Huff was mostly a scorer in the first half but was much more balanced in the second half, finishing with 20 Points, 6 Assists, and 5 Steals in the game. He is a physical guard who plays the game at a good pace. Enzo is also a good athlete and can play either position in the backcourt. In Habersham Central's matchup with Dorman (SC), Enzo picked up the scoring load in the second half knocking down four threes and using his size to get to the free-throw line. He has a good body with length, strength, and athleticism to go with it. Jaron is very comfortable working in the post and had several good moments with his back to the basket. He battles through contact, has a good second jump, and uses a power dribble well. On the defensive end, LeMelle can protect the rim without blocking shots because he has a high point of contest at the basket and on jump shots. Amari had success scoring in the paint and from the perimeter, knocking down a couple of threes while also showing off persistence in finishing at the rim. He is a gifted scorer who has the freedom of the offense for Hueytown. Braylon is extremely shifty with the ball in his hands and a great set of moves and counter-moves. Patton can score at all three levels and has active hands on defense to force turnovers and get out in transition.
