LeMelle is a rock-solid post defender that rebounds at a high rate. Offensively, Jaron works the triangle 15-feet and in. He has a soft touch and uses quality footwork with his back to the basket to score. His range has expanded each season, able to hit the open three. His effort sets him apart.

Steady two-way producer gets on the glass, defends multiple positions and has improved his offense each year. Great hands. Scores through contact. Can open up the floor with range starting to extend to the three-point line.

I was extremely impressed with LeMelle on Saturday in Franklin County. He has a good body with length, strength, and athleticism to go with it. Jaron is very comfortable working in the post and had several good moments with his back to the basket. He battles through contact, has a good second jump, and uses a power dribble well. On the defensive end, LeMelle can protect the rim without blocking shots because he has a high point of contest at the basket and on jump shots. Jaron tallied 12 Points, 7 Rebounds, and 3 Blocks against Keenan (SC).

Up from No. 111: Versatile. Growing his range, able to play inside and out. Quick enough to attack off the dribble from the perimeter. Long arms and springy. Good nose for the ball inside when it comes to rebounding. Scores with his back to the basket and can also face-up with his jumper.

I think colleges are going to start falling for Jaron next year. At 6-foot-7, he’s a very good athlete and a capable defender both inside and out. LeMelle is active in the paint, a competitive rebounder that finishes well. He has the ability to hurt defenses from the high post with his court vision and quickness when making moves. LeMelle finished with 10 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks vs. Wheeler.
