Here's a look at the players that had significant rise in their ranking in the latest update. A rise in a ranking can mean one of a few different things, or a combination of them. One, a player could gain lots of recruiting traction, interest, offers and visits. Two, a player has played so well in the first couple weeks of season, their improvement is remarkable and should be notes. Three, unfortunately there are times when other players above simply tank or can't maintain their current rank allowing another to move above. In any scenario, movement in rankings means one thing, players are doing their part to improve themselves.

[player_tooltip player_id='2208827' first='Navi' last='Hewitt'] has had a great start to his senior year and the highlight videos to back it up. Hewitt's added muscle to a frame that's over 6'4", coupled that with his speed and explosion as well as done great work on his shooting at all levels. With the length and athletic ability to be an elite defender, Hewitt is quickly becoming a player to be added to many college coach watchlists which in turn raises his stock. Look for the offers to flow in throughout the season especially if he gets on the big stage in Charleston.

[player_tooltip player_id='2241493' first='Demarcus' last='Bandy'] worked his way back from injury last season and is off to a terrific start after transferring to Morgantown High for his senior year. Bandy has quickly worked his way into the fabric of the offense as well as become one of Morgantown's top defenders, traits that will only check the most important boxes in recruiting. Bandy has great explosion and speed to the hoop as well as good size for a guard. With Morgantown getting plenty of college coach attention, Bandy should have some choices by March of what his basketball future holds. His "stock" has been a wait and see process after successful recovery from injury and being likely ahead of schedule on his development, his stock is on the rise.

[player_tooltip player_id='2324784' first='Reid' last='Fisher'] already has some considerable offers hanging out there, but we have no doubt that many more could be in the near future. Reid's play thus far has done nothing short of create a college recruiting highlight video with showing athletic finishes on transition and alley oop dunks, as well as show his range from mid-range out. What might be Reid's strongest quality is his discipline within the offense and showing great shot selection. Once coaches catch wind of this 6'6" wing they'll be following closely as he's the model of what many are looking for.

[player_tooltip player_id='1413972' first='Isaac' last='Meddings'] is already committed and signed to his college hoops destination, but he sure isn't playing like it. Meddings seems like the best player nobody knows about, but you won't have to ask anyone who he is when you watch the Wayne team, he'll be the guy that rarely misses, whether it be warmups or in the game. He's arguably the most accurate shooter in WV currently and just keeps delivering night after night for a Wayne squad coached by his dad and will be a serious threat come regionals time. Meddings rise in stock simply comes from continuing to be one of the state's elite shooters despite getting every team's best defender and defensive strategy thrown at him. Oakland City University's program got one of WV's best 2025's.

[player_tooltip player_id='2068056' first='TD' last='Bodkins'] made the move to the eastern panhandle and into EPAC play and has made the transition seamlessly. Fitting into coach Church's offensive style isn't for everyone but Bodkins has made the most of his opportunities and quickly become a better player as a result. Previous scouting reports by college coaches were positive in years past, so we can only project that this year in the Hedgesville program will boost his stock and very quickly.

[player_tooltip player_id='1966428' first='Anthony' last='Owunna'] is yet another eastern panhandle player that has been able to garner some college attention, not only for academics which are off the charts, but now noticing his athleticism and length as a player. BlueChips Nation confirmed there has been some attention going Owunna's direction and he should have some choices by season's end, which obviously drives up the stock on this 6'4" wing.

[player_tooltip player_id='2528455' first='Levi' last='Wanless'] came outta nowhere almost and has simply played great basketball everywhere he's been since popping on our radar in August. The 6'1" point guard just fills whatever role he's given and is darn good at it. Exceptional floor leader and more than able scorer, Wanless has proved he's not a flash in the pan player but rather a college prospect who's continued his ascent in the recruiting world.

[player_tooltip player_id='2375610' first='Amarion' last='Johnson'] or "Marty" as most of the high school basketball world knows him, has taken the reigns of the Morgantown offense and done an amazing job thus far. Being a role player behind some great talent over the last few years and now really being able to showcase himself within the Mohigans program, Johnson should see a rise in his recruiting stock and benefit from the typical college attention that starts flowing through there in January.

[player_tooltip player_id='2462324' first='Tyler' last='Peros'] is another player that has came onto our radar somewhat late, but we've enjoyed tracking his progress through the summer and fall and into the school season. Peros is a weight room warrior and one that's not afraid of work away from the court. Peros has continued his momentum by putting up great numbers as well as some great basketball on film for college coaches to review, thus his stock has seen a quick rise.

[player_tooltip player_id='2241530' first='Jaylon' last='Walton'] seems ready to shed the "role player" label and put his game at premium level this school season. Walton has a great frame at 6'4" and next level athleticism which he's done a great job using to score and rebound thus far in his senior season. On a team of high level shooters and scorers Walton must be efficient with the ball to put up double figures in scoring but he's managed that most nights out. We think there's some schools out there that would be more than happy to have a player like Walton on their squad and look for his opportunities to come by spring.
