6A

#1 Layton

[player_tooltip player_id='1724368' first='Karter' last='Miller'] looked great and he started the season off with a bang as he got himself a first play tip-off dunk.

#2 Herriman

[player_tooltip player_id='1278442' first='Carlo' last='Mulford'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1369726' first='Cale' last='Barclay'] will only get better with time.

#3 American Fork

They haven't tipped off yet but this team will be good with [player_tooltip player_id='1439711' first='Bryce' last='Mella'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2089441' first='Jax' last='Clark'] as the headliners.

#4 Corner Canyon

Take this to the bank, new names at Corner Canyon will be huge for them. Noah Bendiger will have games where he goes off.

#5 Lehi

Lehi is primed to just pick up where they left off. [player_tooltip player_id='1164729' first='Easton' last='Hawkins'] is talented.

Next Up: Teams that have impressed early are Pleasant Grove, Bingham and Lone Peak. It is easy to see that any team is beatable in 6A and on any given night a player could go off like [player_tooltip player_id='1316136' first='Jackson' last='Taylor'] did for Lone Peak. [player_tooltip player_id='2125357' first='Brennan' last='Blackett'] is transforming before our eyes over at Pleasant Grove. [player_tooltip player_id='1278436' first='Luke' last='West'] is getting that ball moving and he looks like a true PG out there.

5A

#1 Orem

The Tigers head to LCA and pull out a huge win. Held a player that looked impossible to stop to 4 points. Burgess was cooking and was living up to the hype.

#2 Timpview

Timpview is a team that is scary, ready to see this squad.

#3 Highland

It is a great sign to see so many other players other than their main guys get on the board. [player_tooltip player_id='2610482' first='Bodie' last='Dodge'] looks great and so does [player_tooltip player_id='1617154' first='Jack' last='Anderton']. That will help down the stretch.

#4 Alta

Alta looked impressive against Fremont. Zak Peapke, Hayden Anderson was good and it's great to see him healthy as he could be a game changer. Jaxon Langford was good too. Watch out if Alta can get that kind of balanced scoring.

#5 Springville

Springville had a rough one against Dixie but their St.George tour went well as they did pick uop a few wins. Look for them to really settle in the next 3 games as they play a tough schedule. [player_tooltip player_id='1278439' first='Jamyn' last='Sondrup'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1243529' first='Andrew' last='Miller'] are tough.

Up Next: There is a lot of teams that were impressive in Week 1. Juan Diego has really found the next level of [player_tooltip player_id='1964621' first='Luke' last='Meyer'] and that could be trouble for other teams. Bountiful scoring 92 points was impressive and so was [player_tooltip player_id='2347484' first='Bryson' last='Heath'], that is the kid that they need to continue with that level of play. Woods Cross looked good and being able to get good production from [player_tooltip player_id='2380893' first='Elliot' last='Bendinger'] was huge. Brighton looked tough and getting a big start from [player_tooltip player_id='2285072' first='Josh' last='Mawhinney'] is big as they have more than a few players that can get it going.
