<p>Over the next couple of months, high school basketball will take center stage in the Natural State. Each Sunday, Prep Hoops Arkansas will highlight several players who lit it up this week. The second week of the season witnessed plenty of impressive performances, and we are going to highlight some of them.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2021891' first='RJ' last='Young'] has opened up the 2024 basketball season in style for the Bryant Hornets. He is the type of player that stays active on both ends of the floor for the Hornets. Against Hot Springs, Young had no problem filling up the stat sheet quickly. He struck for 34 points, 11 rebounds, 4 blocks, 3 assists, and 2 steals on the night. Young is a player to watch out for over the course of the season for a talented Bryant squad.</p>

<p><strong>Trenton Arnold-Small Forward-England-6'4” 2026</strong></p>

<p>The England basketball team was on fire this week. Trenton Arnold had no trouble lighting it up on both ends of the floor. Arnold showcased his high motor and impressive ability to get to the basket. Against Kirby this week, Arnold racked up 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists on the night. He is a player to watch out for for the season for England. Arnold has the potential to light up numerous teams over the course of the season.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2426780' first='Garyn' last='High'] is a prospect that is not having any trouble opening eyes this season. He excels at handling the basketball and being able to find the open shooter on the floor. High is an unselfish player with the basketball in his hands. He filled up the stat sheet against Mountain View in impressive fashion this week. High struck for 29 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block on the night. He is a prospect that I expect to have a big 2024 season for Cave City this season.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2021880' first='JJ' last='Andrews']-Small Forward-Little Rock Christian-6'7” 2026</strong></p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2021880' first='JJ' last='Andrews'] is one of the most impressive players in the state of Arkansas. Andrews gets into the paint and finishes above the rim easily. The Little Rock Christian prospect displayed his ability create big plays on both ends of the floor against El Dorado. He opened plenty of eyes this week going for 23 points, 13 rebounds, and 6 assists this week. Andrews is setting the stage for a big season this season.</p>
