New Names at the Holt Jamboree

Prep Hoops Missouri spent its Monday evening in Wentzville to watch the Holt High Jamboree. The four participating schools were Holt, Festus, Parkway North and Union.   Here are some New Names of players who caught our eye at the Holt Jamboree.    A 6'3" 2027 guard who is the Wildcats top all-around player. He is the their main scoring threat as well the primary ball handler and facilitator on offense. He is an unselfish player who did a good job of getting his teammates involved first before asserting himself on offense. He came off the screen to hit mid-range jumpers and he also hit 3-pointers off the pick and roll.     A 2027 point guard who comes over to Holt from Riverview Gardens. He is a ball hawk on the defensive end who provided excellent on-ball pressure. He had multiple deflections and a few steals. He also has excellent quickness and savvy on the offensive end. He has a quick first step and he was able to find the seams in the defense to score on short jumpers and runners in the lane. He will provide the Indians with an added offensive spark this sesaon.     A 6'5" 2027 post player who I took an immediate liken to after watching him play for just a few minutes. He has a physical presence at both ends of the court and at about 240 pounds, he can back it up. He is a very willing and tough screener who enjoys the contact and he gets his teammates open. He did a good job of muscling inside for rebounding position and he had many good second and third efforts on the offensive boards.     A 6'4" 2026 small forward with good length and who was very active at the top of the Tigers' zone defense. He was consistently getting deflection and steals with his activity. He was also in constant motion on the offensive end. He scored on a nice dribble drive move into the lane. He was also hitting the open 3-pointer from the corners.     A 6'4" 2027 forward who has the potential to be a very good inside player for the Wildcats. He became more assertive on offense as the games went on. He made some nice moves in the post and along the baseline that ended in reverse layups for buckets. He is also a solid rebounder who is active on the defensive end.
