New England Commitment Catch-Up (11/25)

With the month of November nearing an end, it's time to check in on some of New England's most recent commitments.   Below are ten prospects, from across the region, who have recently announced their college plans.   [player_tooltip player_id='1532631' first='Teagan' last='Swint']   Swint, a scoring wing at Newton North, announced that he will play next year at Johns Hopkins University. A versatile, three level scorer, Swint is among the top returning players in the MIAA. He can really create for himself with the basketball in his hands, does a good job on the defensive glass, and it ultra competitive. He profiles as a potential future all-league performer for the Blue Jays.   [player_tooltip player_id='1536030' first='JD' last='Heneke']   Heneke, a skilled combo guard from Holderness, made his plans official with a commitment to Curry College. A heady player with the ball in his hands, Heneke is capable of scoring at multiple levels, can get into the paint and create off the bounce, and really competes on the defensive end of the floorl. He profiles as a multi-year, impact player for the Colonels.   [player_tooltip player_id='2547130' first='Tyler' last='Francis']   Francis, a jumbo wing at the Hotchkiss School, came off the board with a commitment to Northeastern University. An uber athletic, jumbo wing, Francis does a great job of attacking the rim off the bounce, is a versatile multi-positional defender, and can rebound above the rim on both ends of the floor. He profiles as an immediate impact, two way wing for the Huskies.   [player_tooltip player_id='2546960' first='Nick' last='Mautone']   Mautone, a versatile wing at the Hotchkiss School, will continue his academic and athletic careers at Colby College. A high IQ wing, Mautone is a big time shot maker from behind the arc, has a good feel for the games as a decision maker with the ball in his hands, and even shows a low post scoring game at times. He profiles as a four year contributor for the Mules.   [player_tooltip player_id='2325872' first='Jules' last='Varin']   Varin, a dynamic playmaking guard at the Hotchkiss School, finalized his college plans with a commitment to Bowdoin College. A big, lefty combo guard, Varin can really stretch the floor as a shot maker, shows the ability to make terrific reads in ball screens, and has an advanced feel as a passer off the bounce. He profiles as an impact player from Day 1 for the Polar Bears.   [player_tooltip player_id='1529070' first='Badara' last='Diakite']   Diakite, an athletic big man at South Kent, announced that he will attend the University of Iowa. A 6'9" forward with a budding skillset, Diakite has show rapid improvement over the last year. He's a terrific rim finisher, offers some rim protection of the defensive end of the floor, and can really get out and run in transition. He profiles as a future all-defense type performer for the Hawkeyes.   [player_tooltip player_id='1529121' first='Giacomo' last='Kaplan']   Kaplan, a heady lead guard at Belmont Hill, ended his recruitment with a commitment to Emory University. A creator at the point, Kaplan makes great reads in the half-court, knows how to hunt his own shot when needed, and can be disruptive at the point of attack defensively. He profiles as the type of prospect that will help win a lot of games for the Eagles.   [player_tooltip player_id='2325735' first='Javon' last='Perry']   Perry, a dynamic verticle athlete at the MacDuffie School, came off the board when he announced that he will attend the University of Rhode Island. One of New England's most athletic forwards, Perry is a monster on the offensive glass, has improved as a post finisher, and has proven to be disruptive around the rim on the defensive end of the floor. He profiles as an immediate impact forward for the Rams.   [player_tooltip player_id='2547062' first='Gur' last='Dhillon']   Dhillon, a two-way forward at Brewster Academy, formally announced his plans for the future with a commitment to Brandeis University. A versatile offensive player, Dhillon has an array of finishing moves in the paint, does a good job of scoring in the mid-range, and has shown he has a good feel for the game as a decision maker with the ball in his hands. He profiles as a future all-league performer for the Judges.   [player_tooltip player_id='2452983' first='Kenny' last='Donnelly']   Donnelly, a big perimeter shooter from the Pomfret School, will head to the midwest next year when he attends Wheaton College in Illinois. A high IQ wing, Donnelly flat out knows how to play on the offensive end of the floor, he can really stretch the defense with his shot making ability, and does a good job of defending multiple positions on the other end of the floor. He profiles as four year contributor on the wing for the Thunder.
