High School Spotlight: Indianapolis Lutheran Saints

The season is still a month away, but with practices happening, it is the perfect time to start previewing the season. In this series, we will be taking a look at some quick hitters, the top player(s), a potential breakout player, other roster members, and notable games for the upcoming season. For today's spotlight, we take a look at the Indianapolis Lutheran Saints.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Quick Hitters</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>Went 15-9 last season.</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>Lost to Greenwood Christian in Sectionals.</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>Head Coach Remus Woods returns for his 6th season as the head coach. 88-36 overall record.</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>Looking to win their 2 State Championship in 3 years.</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Top Players: [player_tooltip player_id='2053660' first='Cayden' last='Loescher'] / <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1539996' first='Lonte' last='Ward']</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>When it comes to Class 1A schools, Indianapolis Lutheran has been one of the best over the past few seasons and a big reason to that has been the 2025 duo of [player_tooltip player_id='2053660' first='Cayden' last='Loescher'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1539996' first='Lonte' last='Ward']. These two have already led the Saints to a State Championship and will be looking at doing so again this last go around. Together they bring back 30.6 points per games and were the top two scorers from last season. Ward is one of the more dynamic guards you will see at this level and Loescher will provide some great playmaking as well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Potential Breakout Player: [player_tooltip player_id='2539953' first='Jarrett' last='Harris']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We haven't spotlighted very many freshman prospects in this series, but there was no way we were going to not put 2028 forward [player_tooltip player_id='2539953' first='Jarrett' last='Harris'] as our potential breakout player for the Saints. Even though he is a freshman, Harris is going to be a big factor for Lutheran at the varsity level. At 6'5, Harris is physically impressive for his age and is a great rebounder and finisher around the rim.
