Here is a look at the four participating teams at the Hazelwood East Jamboree.

Hazelwood East: The Spartans won all three of their games at the jamboree. They have a talented young team that is up and coming.

[player_tooltip player_id='2334950' first='Tyran' last='Frazier']: The 6'10 2027 forward is continuing his ascent as one of the state's top young prospects. His is very long and very skilled and he can score at all three levels. He can create off the dribble on the perimeter and he can finish with a power dunk inside. As he gets stronger and his body continues to mature; watch out.

[player_tooltip player_id='2544913' first='Jaylen' last='Vance']: A 5'11 2025 point guard who was excellent in the win against Sikeston. He used his speed and quickness to dribble through the Bulldogs press. He is also a very capable scorer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2544018' first='Aaron' last='Brown']: A 6'2 2026 shooting guard who is capable of scoring in bunches. The young lefty can light it up from 3-point range when he gets going. He can also slash and finish in the lane with either hand.

Brian Lee: A 6'0 2025 point guard who has a powerhouse build. He looks like a running back and he uses that physical strength to muscle his way into the lane on the drive.

******

Sikeston: The Bulldogs will field another strong team that should be one of the best in Class 5 this season.

PJ Farmer: The 6'2 2025 SEMO recruit was one of the top players at the event. He can control pace and he can also score in a variety of ways. He also makes his teammates better with his passing. He was tough to stop when he got downhill off the dribble.

[player_tooltip player_id='1425731' first='Trace' last='Sadler']: The 7'0 2025 SEMO excited the crowd throughout the evening with an array of slam dunks. He ran the court well and he's a tremendous lob threat.

[player_tooltip player_id='1553204' first='Tristan' last='Wiggins']: A thick-bodied 6'0 2025 point guard who can impact play at both ends of the court. He's a tenacious defender who dominates with his physicality. He also has a nice stroke from 3-point range.

[player_tooltip player_id='1887581' first='Lekereon' last='McCray']: The 6'2 2025 guard is one of those Sikeston athletes who gets it things done with a lot of pace. He was getting steals on the second line of the press. He was slashing effectively and hitting open 3-pointers.

Chris Artis: A 6'2 2025 who will most likely move into a starting role this season. He gets to loose balls and he works hard on the press. He also rebounds well for his size.

Jahrus Goodwin: A 6'3 2026 small forward who operates well around the basket. He is a good athlete who rebound well and slashes to the basket effectively.

******

Gateway Legacy: This is a solid team that held their own against the talented teams from Hazelwood East and Sikeston during the event.

John Villegas: A 6'3 2025 guard with a solid body and good offensive skills. He was hitting the catch and shoot 3-pointer and his handles were solid.

[player_tooltip player_id='2617581' first='Elijah' last='Bobo']: A 2025 combo guard who can really shoot it from long distance. The southpaw was hitting triples off the catch and he unleashed a nice step back from long range.

Eric Millan: A 6'3 2025 wing player who is one of the most explosive athletes at the jamboree. He plays much bigger than his actual size. He was grabbing rebounds at the rim in traffic and he had a big time dunk over a defender.

Marden Gomez: A 6'4 forward who came off the bench and immediately made things happen with his assertiveness around the basket. He was working the offensive boards hard and he made good use of head and shoulder fakes inside.

******

Roosevelt: The Roughriders have plenty of guards and will rely on their speed, quickness and perimeter shooting.

Deandre Hollis: A 5'11 2025 guard who was lighting it up from 3-point range. He was also creating well off the dribble and he used his strength and quickness to get to his spots.

Ashante Burns: A 2025 point guard who has good quickness and a reliable shot from 3-point range. He is also a solid on-ball defender.
