Guard Play from Scrimmage Week

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>PH NorCal was at Benicia High School for the BHS Scrimmage Saturday Nov 16. The 11 Varsity teams played 3 or 4 games, with 20 minute clocks against different opponents. The 707 Area has been around for a while now and has produced a good amount of prospects who can play at the next level. Running point or working off ball he impacted the game with his play. Good decisions, excellent passing, and quality shots that went in. He's a quality ball handler with vision, and passing. He makes it a point to involve others roaming along the perimeter, or driving into the paint from different angles. He used his speed dribbles up the middle, and on the sides going up court, looking, to pass, or attack the rim with nice crossovers, or pulling up for short jumpers. He's comfortable working off ball putting up 3's around the perimeter. He can run point, handle ball pressure, he has good body control working to get to his spots, he'll get his shot off over defenders in the paint. He does a little bit of everything. He brings the ball up court when needed, made good moves going to the basket, and finishing in transition. He can probably run the offense if called to do so. He's looks more suited working off ball looking for buckets, slashing and other ways, for now. He plays under control, has good moves using his dribble to get the right shots, drives or mid-range jumpers, he can drop a 3ptr from long range. He plays within the flow of the game. He had good play from the guard position. He handled pressure bringing the ball up court, showed patience up top getting the team into it's half-court sets.
