The Spoilers are coming off a 20+ win season and a 3rd Place Finish at the State Tournament. They lost serious talent to graduation, but they bring back all of their size and 3 super-intriguing ballers. Grafton has great length, athleticism, and deadly shooters. The Spoilers will compete with the best, win many games, and have a good shot at getting back to the big dance. He averaged a double-double last season and was a huge reason for the success we had as a team. He can score from inside and out and is a great rebounder. He can defend multiple positions and is a good shot blocker as well. He improved all aspects of his game in the off-season. He will have to take on an even bigger role on both ends of the floor with the loss of a very successful graduating class." He's a long defender and does a nice job of forcing shooters to try and play over the top. He has proven he can guard multiple positions. Brody has a knack for the ball and works hard to box out and rebound. We will need his scoring and rebounding numbers to increase this year as he takes on a much bigger role." He loves to play fast and get out in transition and that's when he's at his best. He's a very good shooter and we look for both his scoring and rebounding numbers to improve this year as he will play a major role for us. He's super athletic and uses that to his advantage on both ends of the floor. We look for him to be able to guard multiple positions." He can hit an open shot and is always looking to make a play for his teammates. He has quick hands and does a nice job getting deflections." He can knock down an open shot from the outside and also loves to get out in transition. He creates a lot of opportunities for us with his defense." He can defend multiple positions and has a nice mid-range game on the offensive side. "We had an excellent season last year. We had a great group of seniors who loved to compete and set a great example for the rest of our team. We finished much higher than predicted to start the year. We competed well with the top teams in the state all season."   PHD: Who will be your primary ballhandler this year?   "With the loss of a big senior class and the majority of our ball handling from the last 3 years, this will be a team effort. [player_tooltip player_id='2630708' first='LeeRoy' last='Delgado'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2630713' first='Roman' last='Rodriguez'] will be asked to try to fill that role but we expect [player_tooltip player_id='1632630' first='Brody' last='Lillemoen'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1632619' first='Reggie' last='Rice'] to play a major part in that as well."   PHD: How did the off-season go for your team/program?   "A few of our players competed in AAU during the summer months. We do run some skills camps and also participated in a couple of team camps as well."   PHD: Who are a few of your top players to look out for?   "[player_tooltip player_id='1770389' first='Kyler' last='Droog'], [player_tooltip player_id='1632630' first='Brody' last='Lillemoen'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1632619' first='Reggie' last='Rice'] will be expected to carry the load this season. All 3 have varsity experience and played at a high level against some great competition last season. They are all capable of scoring and rebounding at high levels. The length we have when the 3 of them are on the floor can cause problems on both ends against most teams we will face. Their ability to score from anywhere should allow us to spread the floor and not let anyone focus on just one person."   PHD: Who are a couple of up-and-comers to look out for?   "We will need [player_tooltip player_id='2630708' first='LeeRoy' last='Delgado'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2630713' first='Roman' last='Rodriguez'] to step in and contribute right away. They are both fierce competitors and have been waiting for their chance to compete at the varsity level. They are both very capable of impacting the game in a positive way on both ends of the floor."   PHD: Who do you think will be your top interior player?   "[player_tooltip player_id='1770389' first='Kyler' last='Droog'] will be the focal point of our interior. He's big and strong and has some nice moves around the basket. He's a great rebounder and has a knack for the ball. We will also look to take advantage of any mismatches we can with [player_tooltip player_id='1632630' first='Brody' last='Lillemoen'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1632619' first='Reggie' last='Rice'] in the post."   PHD: What are 2 or 3 goals for the team this year?   "Our goals always include giving ourselves a chance to play in the State Tournament. We lost a lot but we have some nice pieces coming back and if we can bring the newcomers along as the year goes on, we have a chance to be a very good team come tournament time. There may be some growing pains as everyone will be expected to increase their productivity from last year. How we get through that will determine how the year goes."   PHD: Who will be your hardest worker?   "It's hard to pick just one or even two. Our kids love to compete and are always willing to put the team before themselves. They hold each other accountable and they all push each other to be the best version of themselves. That being said, we typically lean on our seniors and I don't expect anything less this year. [player_tooltip player_id='1770389' first='Kyler' last='Droog'], [player_tooltip player_id='2630708' first='LeeRoy' last='Delgado'], and [player_tooltip player_id='2630713' first='Roman' last='Rodriguez'] have all been hard workers in the past and we expect that to continue."   PHD: Who are the top teams in your Region?   "Devils Lake is the favorite and they will be a very tough team to beat. They bring back some very good players in [player_tooltip player_id='1177143' first='Parker' last='Brodina'], [player_tooltip player_id='1769085' first='Joel' last='Nelson'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1746515' first='Oliver' last='Wirth'] and have some others that played some important minutes for them last season. Four Winds and Thompson will also be very good teams and both have returners that will help them compete at a very high level."
