Saturday, I attended a portion of Brentwood's Play Day. The games below are included in this story. Winning team, for what it is worth, is bolded.

Note that [player_tooltip player_id='1343709' first='Trae' last='Rideau'] (Clarksville Academy) did not play due to a shoulder injury. He plans to return early December.

[player_tooltip player_id='1259398' first='Michael' last='Nwoye'] / Hume-Fogg / 2025
Dominant performance by Michael. Nwoye scored in tight spaces. He initiated contact when necessary. For Hume-Fogg, a very athletic and quite long team, Michael is the top interior player.

[player_tooltip player_id='2610424' first='Tahj' last='Davie'] / Clarksville Academy / 2026
It was an uneven game for Tahj and Clarksville Academy Saturday evening. He did hit a three-pointer in the first half and rebounded ok. The team was playing without their star senior point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1343709' first='Trae' last='Rideau'] (INJ) and it showed. They lacked crisp ball movement and offensive awareness. Tahj, for his part, was active around the rim. The team needed him to play as a big whereas he can defend the 2-5 spots.

[player_tooltip player_id='1858624' first='Ty' last='Gibbs'] / Grace Christian / 2025
Quick basketball mind. Ty's handles are significantly better than 18 months ago. He played the point and made so many early, 'on-time' passes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2376260' first='Davis' last='Cochran'] / Brentwood / 2027
Perhaps the best player in the building (afternoon-only) was [player_tooltip player_id='2376260' first='Davis' last='Cochran']. Antioch had no answers for him, and that might be unoriginal for the forthcoming season. Davis created easy buckets and made sharp cuts away from the basketball to put himself in great position for probing passes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2431238' first='Christopher' last='Aveary'] / Antioch / 2025
Blinding speed. Chris will be the sparkplug for Antioch. High energy. Wholly invested. He is very vocal, which the team needs on the floor to complement their coach's message.

[player_tooltip player_id='2276554' first='Miles' last='Rucker'] / Hume-Fogg / 2025
Rucker is a natural creator. He plays with an air of confidence. The Knights of Hume-Fogg play three guards that all kind of share the ball-handling duties: Isiah Ring, Samuel Craddock, Rucker. Of the three Rucker is the best passer and most creative in the halfcourt.

[player_tooltip player_id='2634302' first='Marcell' last='Jackson'] / Clarksville Academy / 2026
A jet with the ball. Marcell showed his burst against a very quick Antioch team to end the night.
