One Thought Per Team

Caledonia. The Warriors are one of the most experienced teams in the state and they have been building for this season for 3-4 years. The time is now for their run.

Lake City. The Tigers lost some very good seniors but between the upperclassmen to be, and the guys coming up, they are still going to be very good.

Cannon Falls. The Bombers lost their two best players but they have a budding standout in [player_tooltip player_id='1874846' first='Gavin' last='Johnson'] and a lot of experience back with him.

Pine Island. Pine Island suffered one of the more odd hardships you will see losing both of their best players to leg injuries for the year. But maybe there is some good to come out of it because some other players were able to develop during a tough year.

La Crescent/Hokah. A team that won twenty games last season and have the talent to be good once again.

Lewiston-Altura. [player_tooltip player_id='2385546' first='Zane' last='Nelson'] is one of the better players that has pry gone on without much chatter. He was an all league guy capable of double-doubles on the regular.

Triton. The Cobras have one of the best players in the league, some size, some up and comers, and dang it, everybody wants to see a Cobra do well!

Zumbrota-Mazeppa. The veteran starters are gone, but there is another wave of players coming through. They might not be a contender, but they will be competitive.

Randolph. It sure seems like a bounce back is coming for the Rockets after a touch year. They have five guys back that did a lot for their team in 23-24.

Dover-Eyota. This is a team bringing back a lot of players that has played some youth and is ready to take another step. But how big will that step be?

Rochester Lourdes. Lourdes might have some losses from their tough league but they will be a tough out because they will have faced a different level of team most of the year.

PEM. It might take another year but PEM will make a comeback as there is experience and they have some good young players.

St. Charles. The Saints took a nice step forward last year and while losing a couple all league guys, they do have a big senior class. Not big in size, but big in numbers.

Winona Cotter. The Ramblers had nine seniors graduate including a couple all league players. The program has taken a step forward, maybe not to the late 70s or early 80s level, but they are taking a step.

Chatfield. This is not a big team and they are coming off a rough season. That said, Carson Harstad is one of the better young players in the section.

Albert Lea. The Tigers aren't expected to be a very strong team but they are a team without seniors building to the future.

Caledonia is the favorite but they will have to fend off defending champion Lake City and others so they can return to state for the first time in three years.
