Six Seniors Set to Emerge as Names to Know in the Class of 2025

This summer brought opportunities for lesser-known prospects in the class of 2025 to break out before their final season of high school competition. This article will dive into six of the stand-out players who made the most of their opportunities and could quickly catch eyes from college coaches.    [player_tooltip player_id='2385397' first='Titus' last='Westrope'] stood out as one of the most complete players that I was able to cover multiple times throughout this past AAU season. He is incredibly active and displays a high level of aggression in every game he plays. His versatility on both ends resulted in a number of grab-and-go opportunities which often led to easy looks at the rim for Westrope or open teammates that he was able to find and get the ball to consistently. He also has good lateral and vertical athleticism which raised his level of versatility even higher. His impressive showing at The Expo has sparked attention for him and he should be set up for an impressive senior year.     Jayden Donahue-Burch had an impressive summer as he regularly was a handful on the interior on both ends of the court. He has solid fluidity while operating in the post and showed good footwork to get positioning and finish around the rim. While serving as an offensive hub out of the high post, Donahue-Burch was able to quickly find cutters and open shooters along the perimeter. He stays in attack mode in terms of driving the ball but also consistently battle for rebounds which he turns into fast-break opportunities off outlet passes and second-chance points following offensive boards.     Miles Howell is a very athletic and aggressive player who excelled this summer by attacking the rim off the bounce. Howell is a creative finisher and adjusts well while in the air. Having only had one opportunity to cover him this summer, he quickly displayed what makes him a potential breakout player with his fast-twitch explosiveness and two-way versatility. He was one of the most impressive open-court athletes I covered this summer. Despite standing out as a play-finisher, he also processed the game very well and was able to consistently make quick reads resulting in easy looks for himself and his teammates.     [player_tooltip player_id='2461654' first='Maddox' last='Morris'] was a very impressive forward who I covered throughout the summer due to his combination of size and skill. He has great touch around the rim but really stood out thanks to his willingness to do things that do not show up in the box score. He has a high basketball IQ and was maybe the best connector out of the post that I have covered. Making quick reads and constantly battling for positioning him make him a perfect fit at the next level as a complementary connector. While it was not his primary use, he also showed shooting upside and could continue developing into a consistent floor spacer. An extremely hard worker and high-character player who communicates well and sacrifices for his team's success.     Darien Luke is a spark plug who stands out both on and off-ball. He has an impressive handle and eye-catching change of speed and direction which he uses to create driving lanes against pressure. Luke also stood out while pushing in transition where he finished plays with good touch or big dunks, but was also willing to make passes for easier looks for his teammates. His combination of size and explosiveness are promising, but his two-way versatility may be the brightest spot in terms of what he could still develop into. The jump shot mechanics looked clean and although driving is the main skill, his ability to spread the floor helps round out his game.     Jase Stewart is a strong and aggressive guard who relies on his physicality to make things happen. He has a great feel for the game and solid touch from all three levels. His big frame also makes him switchable on defense as he can disrupt passing lanes along the perimeter and battle with taller opponents on the interior. While attacking the rim, Stewart remains under control and collects and-one opportunities consistently. Stewart was a main focus for opposing defenses this summer and once he got past his primary defender, he made quick reads before throwing bullet passes across the court and out to shooters along the perimeter.
