Preseason Player of the Year: 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1839807' first='Ryan' last='Treptow'] (Jesup)

The East Division looks pretty open this year, with what figures to be a competitive race between Jesup, Union, and Wapsie Valley. Treptow was a dynamic running mate alongside star Jack Miller last year for the J-Hawks, and it's his show now. He should put up huge numbers.

First Team

2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1839807' first='Ryan' last='Treptow'] (Jesup): 17.0 points, 6.9 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 2.2 steals

An athletic and talented guard, Treptow (pictured) can fill it up in a hurry from all three levels, and following the graduation of Miller, a ton of shots will open up for him. 25 points a game is not out of the question for Treptow as a senior.

2026 [player_tooltip player_id='1726227' first='Caden' last='Sorensen'] (Union): 15.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 2.2 steals, 76.7 FT%

A skilled three-level scorer and playmaker, Sorensen paces a Knights offensive attack that can be deadly. He can get to his spots off the dribble in the mid-range, and he's skilled as an off-ball option as well, moving and knocking down shots in bunches.

2025 [player_tooltip player_id='2398026' first='Conall' last='Sauser'] (Oelwein): 14.3 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.0 steals, 53.2 FG%

Sauser is a big, athletic 6-3/6-4 forward who dominates the glass on both ends of the floor, averaging a double-double last season for the Huskies. He's a good finisher with either hand and can protect the paint defensively.

2026 [player_tooltip player_id='2519981' first='Briggs' last='Boehme'] (Wapsie Valley): 14.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.0 steals

Boehme is a talented playmaker in the backcourt for the Warriors, a skilled ball-handler with great vision. He can play in ball-screen action and is a really nice complement to the next player on this first team.

2026 [player_tooltip player_id='1884756' first='Tanner' last='Bergmann'] (Wapsie Valley): 11.3 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.6 blocks, 52.3 FG%

Bergmann was really, really impressive as a sophomore forward for the Warriors, averaging 11 and 8 with over 1.5 blocks per game. He's a good athlete who moves his feet and can be a switchable defender, and he's a high-level finisher around the rim. He looks primed to have a huge junior season.
