Johnson gave his best DeMar DeRozan impression to start Sunday's action as I think he knocked down a mid-range jumper on three of the first four possessions of the game. A player with soft touch and the ability to rise up over smaller defenders and knock down contested jumpers. After getting going from that range to start, Johnson had some nice attacks off the dribble and had a sweet reverse layup at a key point of the championship game. Overall, I was really impressed with Johnson on Sunday.

It was tough to pick a second player from the 'Musketeers' who won the championship, because they were so balanced across the board. I landed on Swanson who scored the ball in a variety of ways including a couple 3-pointers, post buckets, dribble drive and second chance points. Just a solid performance across the board by Swanson this entire fall league.

The Fall league was hosted in Mason's Courts4Sports complex and the Comets had a ton of standouts throughout the fall league and Westermann is the latest player to catch my eye. A confident 3-point shooter, Westermann was shooting the ball with confidence from beyond the arc, making three 3-pointers to open up the semifinal contest. I thought Westermann also kept his cool against pressure and was productive during scramble plays where the ball was flying around the court. Looks like Mason will have some solid depth in their 2027 class as they try to reclaim a spot near the top of the GMC.

I had recently spotlighted Trimbach as a standout player and once again he was one of the top players on the court during the championship game. I was impressed with how well Trimbach moved without the ball, making himself available in the paint off cuts and getting in position for offensive rebounds. His length also allowed him to extend at the rim on finishes to avoid rim protectors. Finally, Trimbach once again shot the ball well from 3-point range. Excited to follow Trimbach as he matures.

I was impressed by the patience Wilson displayed with the ball in his hands, making a lot of plays early to give his team the first half edge. As a driver, Wilson played on balance which allowed him to find the open teammate and set them up to score. I also thought he made some tough shots off the bounce and overall impacted the game at a high level. While it wasn't quite enough to win the championship in the end, Wilson put up one of the better performances I saw throughout the entire fall league in the championship.
