Class A: The New Coaches of 2024-25

Keep in mind, there is a lot less information on Class A schools available when it comes to coaching changes but we did our best! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Dylan Altendorf of Ogilive. Dylan takes over for Sam Weaver and I believe they had coached together for some years so it will be a familiar progression. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Chad Burmester of Grand Meadow. Burmester has been teaching at Grand Meadow for 20 plus years and this is his second stint as head coach. Burmester takes over for Dakota Rostad who went to Spring Grove.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Dan Gross of BOLD. Gross takes over as the head coach of the basketball team. Gross family name has been big in BOLD in football and basketball for some time. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jason Haas of Rothsay. Jason is a teacher in the district and he takes over for Taylor Fuhs as the head coach. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Isaac Hildebrandt and Spenser Kipfer of Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey. Two months ago the Wolverines decided that they were going to go with co-head coaches at their school which is something new and interesting! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brian Kjesbo of West Central. Kjsesbo takes over for retired long time basketball coach, football coach and teacher Kraig Hunter. Hunter leaves the program in great hands as Kjesbo takes over a preseason top ten team. Kjesbo has to be one of the few head coaches in Minnesota who is a farmer by day, and hoops coach at night! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jim Hubka of Kingsland. Another name that we know took over this job but we are not sure if it was this past spring or last winter. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ryan Lalim of Canby. Not sure when Lalim took over for Sawyer Hansen but Ryan is now the Canby coach. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Luke Meyer of St. John's Prep. A former player for the school takes over as the head coach. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Phillip Peleska of Nashwauk-Kewatin. Peleska takes over for Giorgi who went to Hibbing. Peleska was previously a head coach at South Ridge and a long time assistant at Virginia before that. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jeremy Plowman of Fillmore Central. Was approved as the new coach this past spring. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Austin Rambow of BBE. Chris Anderson retired and Austin comes over from the girls program and takes over as the boys head coach. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Dakota Rostad of Spring Grove. Dakota moves from Grand Meadow to the school he played point guard for in high school. Dakota takes over for Wade Grinde who retired.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2824358' first='Nicholas' last='Taylor'] of Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart. Taylor takes over for a team that won three games last season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Matt Vande Kamp of Southwest Minnesota Christian. Matt is currently listed as the head coach of SW MN Christian and not long time coach Jamie Pap. I have not seen an announcement of change anywhere and I do believe Vande Kamp is the AD at the school. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
