[player_tooltip player_id='2469994' first='Brogan' last='Sams'] wrapped up a freshman season as the only freshman nominated for all-state in AAAA, West Virginia's largest class while playing in the state's toughest conference comprised of AAA and AAAA schools. Sams could have one of the best pull up jumpers in the state, not to mention he is does some amazing things with the ball finishing at the basket. I'd expect a huge sophomore year with Sams simply because he's a problem to guard. Brogan is equally effective with both hands going either direction and can stop and pop anywhere on the floor with great elevation and high release. He'll be a big problem for opponents.

[player_tooltip player_id='2455001' first='Nykeem' last='Thompson'] will be one of the state's emerging guards this year while likely seeing meaningful time on the floor for Martinsburg while they do battle in the EPAC, which seems to get stronger every year. Thompson seems to have the talent to be one of the better point guards in the state with excellent vision, ball control and paint touches.

[player_tooltip player_id='2440252' first='Peyton' last='Cline'] played strong in the paint when he had the ball while making smooth athletic moves to create for himself. Cline is a rising forward who could transition into a wing in coming seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='2443234' first='Chandler' last='Jackson'] absolutely lit it up for us the last time we saw him at Anderson Court. Jackson poured in 23 points against the BlueChips team with upperclass college prospects. Jackson plays extremely hard on both ends, makes great decisions as well as shows good basketball IQ with spacing and tempo.

[player_tooltip player_id='2508616' first='Antione' last='Hicks'] is an emerging guard/forward from Oak Hill High School. Hicks operates best at full speed with the ball and operating in the middle of the floor as a good guard should. Look for him to possibly be in competition for varsity minutes as the season progresses.

[player_tooltip player_id='2561914' first='Pierson' last='Dejneka'] is a true "shooting" guard. He scores it from deep as effective as anyone he's on the floor with. A super quick trigger on the release and a real talent for getting open with movement without the ball, Pierson look like one of the state's top catch-and-shoot artists.

[player_tooltip player_id='2508619' first='Jace' last='Repass'] is someone we've written about previously and still have the same belief he could catch fire as a varsity player quickly, given his size and feel for the game. Repass has played alot of forward but should be working towards adding wing skills to his bag as that will get him on the floor quicker and longer stretches.

[player_tooltip player_id='2615796' first='Levi' last='Lewis'] is a rising guard from Capital High School. Lewis was impressive in Triadelphia during out Expo WV event. I'd look for Lewis to be on the floor for Capital in some capacity.

[player_tooltip player_id='2561882' first='Maddox' last='Stevens'] is a guard with great size and skill, who might be pushed over to wing quite a bit considering the upperclassmen in the guard spots. However, Stevens will certainly have his chances to crack the rotation.

Being in that program Sainato has big expectations to live up to and seems on track to meet those. He's a solid defender that knows how to use his body as well as a high energy and high effort player on offense when we saw him in June.

[player_tooltip player_id='2561912' first='Riley' last='Johnson'] is a returning all-conference player at Herbert Hoover. Johnson shoots it very well from deep, but also has excellent point guard skills. Johnson does a great job of seeing cutters as well as getting paint touches for himself to create.
