October is almost over, meaning the high school tryouts are coming soon. The 2026 class is primed to make its mark on the hardwood this season, especially in Group 3. Here are the 2026 under the radar prospects to watch this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1790208' first='Woo' last='Cannon'], 6'3 SG Hamilton West

Cannon has been part of the Hornets' offense for the last two seasons but should see a bump in production this season. The 6'3 guard has a clean release on his jumper and sets his feet before he shoots. Cannon can also put the ball on the floor and knows how to finish around the basket. He moves well without the ball in his hands and has the length to defend multiple positions. Cannon's ability to impact the game at both ends of the floor will help his stock in a big way this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='2342601' first='Eddie' last='Lopez'], 6'4 SF Middletown North

Lopez had a strong spring and summer, which should carry over into the winter. The 6'4 forward has a good first step, which he uses to beat his defender off the bounce and finishes through contact in the paint. Lopez shoots with confidence on the perimeter. He skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor and uses his athleticism to make plays on defense. Lopez is a talented forward prospect who will be one to track in the Shore Conference.

[player_tooltip player_id='2342688' first='Luke' last='Van Auken'], 6'7 PF Delsea

Van Auken was one of the top post prospects in South Jersey last season and should be once again this year. The 6'7 forward uses his strong frame to get position down low and has a nice touch in the paint. Van Auken sets strong screens in the halfcourt and rolls hard to the basket. He is a force on the boards at both ends of the floor and uses his size to block shots on defense. Van Auken is a double-double machine, who should rack up double-doubles this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2107994' first='Jude' last='Berman'], 5'9 PG Hopewell Valley

Berman will have the ball in his hands more this season, which will help his development in a big way. The 5'9 guard has a good handle, which he uses to beat his defender off the bounce and finishes nicely around the basket. Berman knows how to find his open teammates in the halfcourt and rarely makes bad decisions with the ball in his hands. He can also play off the ball and plays with good anticipation on the defensive end. Berman is a true floor general who knows how to make plays with the ball in his hands.

[player_tooltip player_id='2421357' first='Matt' last='Caplan'], 6'2 SG Summit

Caplan had big moments down the stretch for Summit and should have more of them over the course of the season. The 6'2 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Caplan is more than just a shooter as he can also get to the rim off the bounce and finish around the basket. He is an underrated defender and works hard on the glass. Caplan's ability to score inside and out is something that will help his stock throughout the course of the season.
