SWBC: Team WSU Standouts

August 19th-20th Cedric Cobb Sr and I had the 7th annual Southwest Basketball Camp at the Phhacility in Phx, AZ. 120 players from a few states came to gain exposure in front of college coaches and scouts plus compete versus some top end players over the two days.   Each player competed in 5 games for the two days plus 60 competed in an extra All-Star Game. (Top-20, Top-40 and a Non-Senior All-Star Game)   We take a look at each team's standouts.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">We finish off the 12 team with Team WSU</h2>   Played/Made Top-40 Game   [player_tooltip player_id='2039490' first='Noah' last='Adkins'] ALA-Ironwood   A quick undersized scoring point guard is a great passer who can find teammates in stride. He is a true sniper with deep range on his three point shot. He can catch and shoot or pull-up off the dribble. His fluidity and handle helps him achieve many of his skills.   Played/Made Non-Senior Game   [player_tooltip player_id='2404557' first='Tyson' last='Dobbins'] Desert Christian   A natural bucket can score it from all three levels. He is easily one of the top 1A players in Arizona. He will score with hesitation dribbles, pull-ups from mid to the three, offensive rebounds put backs and is crafty around the basket. He rebounds well in his area and he will make the extra pass with a high IQ to make a play.   [player_tooltip player_id='1875584' first='Mykael' last='Nunez'] Canyon Del Oro (Pictured)   A highly skilled power forward will score and defend. He will rebound at a good clip in his area and block shots. He has a good feel for the game to make plays for position. He will score with reverse layups, advanced post footwork and catch threes.   [player_tooltip player_id='1951728' first='Zachary' last='Jiggens'] ALA-Ironwood   A true point guard with an elite feel for the game to make plays. He has advanced court vision and throws players open. He can get by his defenders with changing speeds and then throw a rope. He smartly plays off the pick and roll game and will score with fall aways, mid-range jumpers, floaters and threes. He rebounds well in the paint and can defend multiple positions with his positioning and strength.   Other Standouts   [player_tooltip player_id='1781790' first='Blake' last='Anderson'] ALA-Ironwood   A good sized combo guard can get downhill with a deceptively quick first step. He is quick on the ball defensively and has a motor to rebound and compete on defense. He can make shots from the perimeter and get to the basket.   [player_tooltip player_id='2536836' first='Hunter' last='Rasmussen'] ALA-Ironwood   A combo guard is a good passer who plays the right way He runs the court for layups, he competes hard on the defensive end and utilizes the give and go game. He can also make perimeter jumpers from both levels.   [player_tooltip player_id='1875407' first='Zach' last='Cutler'] AZ College Prep   A wing forward who played very unselfishly. He makes extra passes on the norm and is in motion without the ball. He can catch and shoot from the three and cuts often for points.
