PrepHoops Oklahoma Expo: Team 6 Evaluations

He shot the ball remarkably well from deep and did a great job of playmaking for others. He hit shots off the dribble as well as catch-and-shoot opportunities. He has a tight handle which helped him control tempo and create open looks for himself as well as others. On the interior, he challenged everything near the rim and consistently battled for rebounds. He was also able to attack off the dribble, hit pull-up threes, and did a great job of setting the table for his teammates. He has a crafty handle and was able to get to his spots with ease which he converted with a wide variety of made threes. He also does a great job of attacking the rim and finishing strong. He was able to block shots, battle for rebounds, and create second-chance points with consistency. He was a monster when battling for rebounds which led to several second looks for his team. He is a constant communicator on defense and helped keep his teammates in position to get stops. He is very strong which helped him fight for positioning and create easy looks for himself at the rim. I dove into his versatility in <a href="https://prephoops.com/2024/09/prephoops-oklahoma-expo-the-signature-6-pt-2/">The Signature 6</a>, but he scored from all three levels and showed constant aggression. Starnes is a solid athlete with good size and showcased his guard skills as well.
