Nobody does content and event coverage like Prep Hoops. That is never more true than doing our annual series of fall showcase events. This past Sunday, we hosted our annual Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase which is the single best event we put on each year. Over 150 of the states best freshmen descended upon Fishers High School to play in front of our scouting staff as well as many area high school and grassroots coaches. Throughout the week, we will be pumping evaluations on every single kid that attended this event. For this one, we look at the players that made up Team 10.

***As you can imagine, trying to cover 150+ prospects in a single event is a very daunting task. Also, there always end up being a couple of jersey number discrepancies, so if you attended the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase and DID NOT receive an evaluation, please reach out to Brandon Ramsey via email coachbrandonramsey@gmail.com or on Twitter @BRamseyKSR.***

[player_tooltip player_id='2542710' first='Chance' last='DeRossett'] (Wayne HS) - DeRossett impressed with his length as a 6'3" guard. Thought he really excelled on the defensive end, which looks to be among his best assets right now as a freshman. Additionally, the left-handed guard has an incredibly smooth stroke and appears to be one of the best catch-and-shoot threats in the class. There is a lot of talent at Fort Wayne Wayne, but don't be surprised if he can find his way into some varsity minutes this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2560344' first='Brody' last='Hartman'] (Triton Central HS) - Hartman is a 6'0" guard that is already a smart, high IQ player at his young age. Really good shooter and did so very smoothly. The thinner guard from Triton Central High School helped to space the floor for his teammates in five-on-five action due to the threat of his catch-and-shoot ability.

[player_tooltip player_id='2560359' first='David' last='Smith'] (North Central HS) - Smith was one of the better combo guards that I watched on the day. At around 6'1" with a long, lanky build I thought he showed a strong ability to cut off the ball to get easy looks. This especially shined in three-on-three action before we transitioned into five-on-five play. The North Central High School product displayed a go-to inside-out dribble move that got him into the paint consistently.

[player_tooltip player_id='2481826' first='Jesse' last='Craig'] (Zionsville HS) - Craig is a 6'1" guard out of Zionsville High School that is really long on the wing. Easily his best asset right now is his shooting ability as he was one of the better knockdown shooters I saw on the day. He showcased a lot of confidence in his shot. In transition, Craig did a good job of running the wings to stretch the defense sideline to sideline. He was also consistently active on the defensive end of the floor in five-on-five action displaying some good understanding of team defensive concepts.

[player_tooltip player_id='2538005' first='Teagan' last='Leonard'] (North Vermillion HS) - Leonard is a shorter guard that plays with a tough edge. I liked the way he played through contact as well while consistently showing an ability to hit shots from behind the arc. Then, as he loosened up the defense, he was able to attack aggressive closeouts to get into the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id='2560381' first='Joel' last='Miller'] (Parke Heritage HS) - Miller is a shorter lead guard that is really active on both ends of the floor. While he was one of the more active guards I watched on the day, I thought he was best on the defensive end where he showed he likes to compete and isn't afraid to stick his nose in against bigger opponents. The Parke Heritage High School product displayed a strong motor as well. Even as a 5'11" guard, Miller's motor allowed him to have some success crashing the offensive glass.

[player_tooltip player_id='2560413' first='Sean' last='Kashoko'] (Penn HS) - Kaskoko is a very short guard but makes up for it with his elite quickness. At 5'6" right now, he is a guard that uses his speed to his advantage and really likes to push and control the pace in the open floor if the defense lets him. In three-on-three play he was able to operate with the ball in his hands more before then serving in a more complimentary backcourt role as we transitioned to five-on-five action.

[player_tooltip player_id='2457404' first='Caleb' last='Coolman'] (Penn HS) -At 6'4", Coolman was one of the more crafty wings that I saw on Sunday. He has a long frame that he utilizes to get into the lane and create at the rim. Coolman has a really smooth, consistent floater as well. One of the best players at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase, we also highlight the standout Penn High School freshman in our top performers write up immediately following the event.

[player_tooltip player_id='2560400' first='Mark' last='Shostak'] (Carmel HS) - Shostak was one of the top bigs in the gym on Sunday. At a very impressive 6'8" already, Shostak is a huge post presence that knows how to use his size down low. I thought he ran the floor well and was one of the better passers at his size also. Lot of upside in him as he continues to develop skill wise and potentially even continue to grow. Right now, Shostak is a right hand over left shoulder finisher, but is just scratching the surface of what he can become through the years at Carmel High School.
