The 2024 Prep Hoops Carolinas Freshman Showcase took place on Sunday, September 8th in Rock Hill, South Carolina featuring some of the best young prospects in North and South Carolina. After warming up with some 3v3 action, the players were divided into ten teams for two 5v5 games. Check out my evaluations of the six South Carolina prospects from Team 4 at the 2024 Prep Hoops Carolinas Freshman Showcase:

#322 [player_tooltip player_id='2541186' first='Gregory' last='Williams Jr'] (Eau Claire) - [player_tooltip player_id='2541186' first='Gregory' last='Williams Jr'] was one of the most consistent offensive threats for Team 4. He is a knockdown shooter from all over the arc and can spot up or shoot off the dribble. He was most efficient in the corner and had multiple made threes from there. Gregory is also a strong ball-handler and showed off good vision with some key passes.

#337 [player_tooltip player_id='2554843' first='Aidan' last='Walls'] (North Augusta) - Walls is an intriguing prospect from a physical standpoint. He's listed at 5'11", but has a strong frame and good athleticism so he can play on the wing. Those attributes helped him score around the basket with euro steps, up and unders, and transition finishes. Walls had good instincts for the ball, could finish with either hand, and even had a game-winning bucket for Team 4 in one of their 5v5 games.

#340 [player_tooltip player_id='2537653' first='Jeramie' last='Lewis'] (Greenwood) - Jeramie is a prospect I wasn't familiar with coming into the camp but one I think could have an instant impact at Greenwood High School if he earns a chance. He is committed to the defensive end of the floor and will get in passing lanes or keep ball-handlers in front. Lewis is also a weapon on the offensive end because he can spot up for a three or drive into the lane and finish around bigger bodies.

#357 [player_tooltip player_id='2460063' first='Nolan' last='Johnson'] (Military Magnet) - I was first introduced to Johnson's game during my film room series last month, so it was good to see him in person for the first time in Rock Hill. Nolan has very fundamentally sound feet and will play off two feet when attacking the lane using step-throughs to create space for a shot. Johnson is comfortable handling the ball and also has strong hands to force turnovers on the defensive end. I feel he could be among the prospects with the most production in their Freshman year this season playing for Military Magnet Academy.

#380 [player_tooltip player_id='2405568' first='Brice' last='Wiersma'] (TL Hanna) - [player_tooltip player_id='2405568' first='Brice' last='Wiersma'] is a name to know in South Carolina's 2028 Class. He was one of the most dominant offensive forces at the Prep Hoops Freshman Showcase because he has a guard's skills in a big's body. In 3v3, Wiersma moved well off the ball and used his size to finish over defenders at the rim. In 5v5, Brice had the ball around the perimeter more and was even the main playmaker at times, getting the ball downhill to score at the rim, find an open teammate, or earn a trip to the free-throw line.

#419 [player_tooltip player_id='2352782' first='Nick' last='Lindsay'] (Calhoun Academy) - Nick has a long frame and was active on the wings for Team 20. He had some very intelligent cuts that led to easy buckets for him or opened up space for his teammates. He is confident spotting up for three and has both a high release and arc to shoot over defenders. Lindsay will also crash the glass on the defensive end and has a good enough handle to push the pace himself.
