Prep Hoops Carolinas Expo: Team 8 Evaluations

After warming up with some 3v3 action, the players were divided into twenty teams for two 5v5 games. Caden is a terrific athlete who can make plays that few around the state can in both the half-court and full-court. He navigates traffic extremely well and makes key passes to put teammates in a position to score. Along with his ability to hang in the air or finish over defenders, Caden can use his size and strength to finish through the contact of rim protectors. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>#290 [player_tooltip player_id='2554089' first='William' last='Rose'] (First Baptist)</strong> - Rose is a true pass-first Point Guard from First Baptist High School in Charleston. He has a good handle, vision, and is always looking to keep his teammates involved in the offense. William can be trusted to run inbound sets and throw post-entry passes. When off the ball, Rose stays engaged by cutting into the paint or staying shot-ready on the perimeter. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>#360 [player_tooltip player_id='2561008' first='Brandon' last='Grant'] (Goose Creek)</strong> - I first became familiar with Brandon's game during my film room series last month. He had a good showing in Rock Hill showing off a solid offense skillset. Grant was active without the ball in his hands, cutting into open spaces or screening for other guards. He was a good option for Team 8 in the transition offense with a couple of impressive plays including a floater over a tall defender and an unselfish extra pass. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"id":2563910,"width":"423px","height":"auto","sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"media"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><a href="https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2024/09/IMG_8206.jpeg"><img src="https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2024/09/IMG_8206.jpeg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-2563910" style="width:423px;height:auto" /></a></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>#446 [player_tooltip player_id='2469368' first='Isaiah' last='Thomas'] (Catawba Ridge)</strong> - [player_tooltip player_id='2469368' first='Isaiah' last='Thomas'] was one of my biggest standouts from the 3v3 section of the 2024 Prep Hoops Carolinas Expo. He is a confident and capable shooter who can fill it up quickly from the mid-range and behind the arc. Thomas is also quite crafty when putting the ball on the deck with a good handle and creativity around the rim. Isaiah will do his duties on the defensive end as well, with a good frame to keep defenders in front and effect shots. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
