The 2024 Prep Hoops Carolinas Expo took place on Sunday, September 8th in Rock Hill, South Carolina featuring some of the best 2025s, 2026s, and 2027s in North and South Carolina. After warming up with some 3v3 action, the players were divided into twenty teams for two 5v5 games. Check out my evaluations of the eight prospects from the Carolinas on Team 8 at the 2024 Prep Hoops Carolinas Expo:

#274 [player_tooltip player_id='2561868' first='Anjewel' last='Edwards'] (Brookland-Cayce) - [player_tooltip player_id='2561868' first='Anjewel' last='Edwards'] begins my list of evaluations from Team 11 at the Prep Hoops Carolinas Expo. He held down the paint for Team 11 and at 6'3" was one of the tallest players on their roster. He is a strong rebounder and was versatile on defense, moving his feet well and keeping opponents out of the paint. On the offense end, Edwards was most active in transition with his long strides running the floor and making long passes but he also knocked down a couple of threes.

#283 [player_tooltip player_id='2317156' first='Elijah' last='Kindle'] (Northwood Temple) - Elijah had the ball in his hands often for Team 11 in Rcok Hill. His game impressed me, particularly with his ability to create off the dribble, finish through contact, and play off two feet in the paint. Kindle keeps his head up reading defenses with the ball in his hands and made a couple of nice passes out to perimeter shooters. Elijah is a solid shooter himself and was a true offensive threat in multiple departments.

#289 [player_tooltip player_id='2417564' first='Jackson' last='Moore'] (Hough) - Moore was active in spurts at the Expo. He attacked closeouts well and few nice finishes at the rim including an up and under where he flew past a rim protector. Jackson battled consistently on the glass on both ends and earned multiple extra possessions for his team.

#308 [player_tooltip player_id='2149116' first='Alex' last='Sanford'] (Trinity Christian) - AJ Sanford stood out with his ability to make plays on the offensive and defensive end of the floor. He is a short but extremely quick and shifty guard who moved his feet well keeping ball handlers in front and using his hands to force them into turnovers while also creating scoring opportunities for himself and others. Sanford had a couple of nice finishes with his left hand around bodies in the paint.

#324 [player_tooltip player_id='2417530' first='Jayce' last='Newton'] (Mallard Creek)- Newton was one best spot-up shooters from Team 11. He has a slower release, but it was effective particularly when left open. His shooting ability created a lot of space for his teammates to work and he was always shot-ready on the perimeter. Jayce has good off-ball movement and will be unselfish in setting screens and fighting for offensive rebounds too.

#336 [player_tooltip player_id='2552498' first='Malachi' last='Ritter'] (Mountain View Prep) - Ritter showed good qualities as a two-way prospect at the Prep Hoops Carolinas Expo. He displayed an ability to get to the rim off the bounce, good finishing skills, strong hands, and ball-tracking instincts on the glass and in passing lanes. Ritter was a very effective player for Team 11 and was crucial to the team when they were playing well.

#710 [player_tooltip player_id='2175494' first='Caleb' last='Autry'] (Concord) - Caleb was an eye-opener with his performances in Rock Hill. At 6'5" he has good positional size and his versatility allows him to make a positive impact in several different ways. Autry made plays off the dribble, getting to his right hand at will and finishing in the paint with his size, strength, and athleticism advantage.

#796 [player_tooltip player_id='2516086' first='Terrell' last='Johnson'] Jr (Goose Creek) - Goose Creek's [player_tooltip player_id='2516086' first='Terrell' last='Johnson'] Jr rounds off the evaluations from Team 11 at the Prep Hoops Carolinas Expo. Terrell has a very long frame and was an active body on both ends of the floor. He crashed the glass hard and was unselfish in making the extra pass. Johnson has a sound jump shot and had a couple of good looks from behind the arc in the matchup with Team 12.
