PHN Middle School Camp (IL): Team 11 vs 12 Standouts

Are you searching for the top talent in the Midwest? Look no further. The Prep Hoops Next Middle School Camp was stacked with talent. The top 6th-8th graders put on a show in Lisle, WI. There were some familiar faces but also some new names that NEED to be on the radar as they continue to develop into promising athletes. Below are some of the athletes that stood out throughout the camp.    Payton ran with the [program_tooltip program_id='2075383' first='Chicago' last='Demons'] this summer. He returns to Dett middle school this fall. Payton had an aggressive approach to camp. He dominated the painted area with his height and length. His quick second jump was impressive on the boards. He proved to be a hybrid defender and kept the ball in front of him when guarding on the perimeter.      Borders returns to Liberty Junior High School this fall. He showcased his talents with the [program_tooltip program_id='2075383' first='Chicago' last='Demons'] over the summer months. Borders spaced the floor in a major way at camp. He passed his teammates open and got himself open as well. He possessed smooth mechanics on his jump shot and a solid understanding of when to attack the paint.      White returns to Liberty Junior High School this fall. He spent his summer months running along with [program_tooltip program_id='2075383' first='Chicago' last='Demons']. White pushed the pace on both ends of the floor at camp. He applied pressure in full and half court situations. He thrived in the open floor in transition and made high-level decisions with the ball in his hands.      Cerada returns to Heritage Grove middle school this fall. He showcased his talents with The [program_tooltip program_id='2078376' first='Illinois' last='Attack'] over the summer months. At camp he proved to be shifty with the ball in his hands. He created space for himself in various ways. Team 11 benefited from Ceradas ability to attack and facilitate on the offensive end.       Daniel spent his summer months showcasing his talents with [program_tooltip program_id='2075622' first='M14' last='Hoops']. He returns to Murphy Junior High School this fall. Daniel was an impact player for team 11. He found his groove hitting corner threes and attacking the baseline. He proved to be crafty with his utilization of shot and pass fakes.      Sandon returns to [player_tooltip player_id='2358989' first='Troy' last=''] Middle School this fall. He caps his summer ball after running with the Illinois kings. At camp he was a rebound magnet. He pushed the pace for team 11 in a major way. He made high IQ decisions on the open floor. He was versatile in the half court and scoring the ball on all three levels.     Whitehurst comes to camp after a solid summer with Flight. He returns to Thompson Junior High School this fall. At camp he was electric in the open floor. He filled lanes in transition which added to the overall pace for team 12. Whitehurst proved to have a solid shot selection. Most impressive was his touch in the mid range and around the basket.
