Jamal was one of the most dynamic players in camp. I got a lot of questions about how he got left off the all-showcase team, as he had a very impressive day. He has good positional size and does a great job getting to his scoring positions and finishing. He was one of the toughest players to contain, as he is explosive off the bounce, especially in isolation situations. He was productive and has a game that is full of potential. His scoring package off the bounce was unmatched. I would like to see a greater commitment to the defensive end of the floor because I believe he has a really good chance to be one of the top two-way players in the state. I still have to see more of his game, as I didn't get a good look at his scoring ability from the perimeter.

Offensively, he showed an inside-out game and the ability to create his own shot. He showed some go-to moves that allowed him to get to his spots where he often was able to raise over the top of defenders and score. Colton used his size, length, and instincts to impact both ends of the floor and rebound at a high rate.
