PH Freshmen Showcase: Team 10 vs Team 11

This 2028 class lived up to the hype at this year's freshman showcase. In a gym filled with talent I was able to pick some prospects who stood out to me the most.    Romo spent his summer months honing his skills. He began his high school career at North Fond Du Lac. During camp he was on a mission to fill the lanes and space the floor. He operated out of the wing and corner area at a high level. He knocked down a great deal of corner threes. His floaters and layups were also on display when being run off the line.     Navis caps off his summer ball with [program_tooltip program_id='2076023' first='Wisconsin' last='Academy']. He has started his high school career at Mauston. During camp he covered a lot of ground. Standing at 6'4, he put his height and length to use in the painted area. Navis has a great feel for the game. He made the game easy for team 10.        Clark finished his summer ball season with [program_tooltip program_id='2391400' first='Team' last='Herro']. He began high school at Wisconsin Lutheran high school. At camps he provided high level ball security for team 10. He used his smooth handle to get to his spots. The 5'5 guard had good pace and control when driving the paint. I was really impressed with his decision making once he reached the painted area.     Knueppel sums his summer ball up with [program_tooltip program_id='2075807' first='Ray' last='Allen Select']. He has started high school at Wisconsin Lutheran high school. Standing at 6'6, he was an immediate paint presence. He controlled the paint at both ends of the floor. His pivots and ball fakes were very polished. I was very impressed with his understanding of the game. He simplified the game all morning for team 10.    #280 Benajmin Wittnebel - 6'3 - Beaver Dam - WI Academy    Wittnebel caps his summer ball with [program_tooltip program_id='2076023' first='Wisconsin' last='Academy']. He has taken on his freshmen campaign at Beaver Dam. During camp he provided a solid offensive display for team _. Standing at 6'3, he proved capable of breaking down his man off the dribble. He showed high level touch on his jump shot outside of the perimeter. Wittnebel was versatile and a mismatch all morning.       Wassil ran with Gallo for his summer season. He has started high school at The Prairie School. He took on the role as the energy leader for Team 11. The 6'1 combo guard rebounded in the paint with the bigs. He led the break and filled the lanes effectively. Wassil displayed the ability to guard in the paint and perimeter all the same. His grit and versatility made him a standout for the morning.     O'Neil caps his summer ball with the [program_tooltip program_id='2494181' first='Wisconsin' last='Dynasty']. He began high school at Vel Phillips Memorial. While at camp he spent his time spacing the floor a great deal for team 11. He made it a mission to be the first guys down the floor. His ability to hit threes in transition were on full display. I was impressed with his determination to push the pace.      Krause finishes his summer season with [program_tooltip program_id='2078394' first='Team' last='1848']. He attends Seymour high school. During camp he took on the “energy leader” role. At 6'0 he was extending offensive possessions with timely rebounds and tip outs. He made a major impact as a defender. He took his matchup personally each game he played. Krause also proved capable of being a threat on the offensive end with some crafty finishes at the basket.     Clark ran with [program_tooltip program_id='2391400' first='Team' last='Herro'] all summer long. He attends Wisconsin Lutheran high school this fall. At camp he was methodical with the ball in his hands. He did majority of his damage in the pick and roll. He showed some nifty passing when finding the roller. Clark also was proficient at the roller when looking to free up a teammate. He made the game easy for Team 11.     King caps his summer ball off after running with Bradley Elite. He attends St. Augustine Prep. During camp he was standout much to do with his movement off of the ball. He capitalized off of back door cuts and slips to the basket. He finished some tough layups with either hand at the rim. I was really impressed with his IQ and understanding of the game.
