Here at Prep Hoops, we try to highlight players from all areas. With the parish rankings, it is another way to do that. As we move from parish to parish, we will highlight who we think are the top preps. We will begin with Bossier Parish. Bossier is a parish that has seen a ton of talent and championships over the years. In this PHLA exclusive, we will look at the top five players from that parish.

Dean-Woods is the top player in Bossier Parish. He played on the EYCL circuit this summer and got a chance to display his all-around talents. Kerel is a three level scorer who has gotten vastly better at taking players off the dribble. He finished his summer displaying that trait with a 40 point effort during the evaluation period. His feather touch from three, at 6'7", makes him a hard guard for teams. If Bossier, is to win another state title, they will need this guy to carry them on most nights.

White really began to play well during 1-5A play last season and carried it over into the summer. He is very good with the dribble. He can easily get to spots for his jumper or just find others in the offense. When you make White the primary scorer, teams rarely have success stopping him because of his versatility. There is a reason he is a top ten player in his class and it is because of his skill set. He can score at all levels and be the lead guard teams want. Airline is happy to have him.

Evans is another point guard who has continued to progress. He was thrust into varsity action his freshman year and has steadily improved since. This summer, Caleb showed that he has the ability to take over games by making the three at key times. He also handles the ball much better and can get to the rim almost at will. When it comes to lead guards on the non-select/1-5A level, he is one of the better ones.

Williams is the other half of the Parkway duo. The two sports start (he is the Panther QB) is a ball of energy when he is on the hardwood. Williams is aggressive on both ends and loves to push the ball aggressively. This usually results in him getting fouled or getting to the rim. Kaleb will also pick up baseline-to-baseline defensively. His aggressiveness is what makes him the player he is. Williams is a high energy difference maker when he is on the floor.

Washington has one of the most versatile skill sets in the state and definitely in Bossier Parish. Washington can defend several positions on the floor and he rebounds well for his size. On the offensive end, he can drive to the basket and spot up from three. Washington can keep defenses off balance because he can score in various places. His skill set helps his team and he should step into more responsibility on the floor during his sophomore season.
