He starts off the list after dishing out 2.9 assists per game this past season alongside a few feature names. With a bigger role on the horizon, he's got an opportunity to be quite the bright spot for the Spartans in 2024-25 as he looks to go out on a high note.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":3} --> <h3 class="wp-block-heading">T-9) [player_tooltip player_id='1280903' first='Josiah' last='Sanders'] | Berean Baptist Academy</h3> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sanders checks in in a tie for ninth on the top returners in assists per game with [player_tooltip player_id='1428458' first='Jadyn' last='Cooper'] (Fayetteville Academy). He's a combo guard who's shown he can do a number of things, including distribute the ball after putting up 3.0 assists per game in his sophomore season. He's a prospect with a bright future ahead of him and a number of DI suitors already heading into his junior year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":3} --> <h3 class="wp-block-heading">T-9) [player_tooltip player_id='1428458' first='Jadyn' last='Cooper'] | Berean Baptist Academy</h3> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cooper is a two-way presence in the Fayetteville Academy backcourt to get to know heading into a new year. He's shown he can make things happen on the offensive end with his 3.0 assists per game average among top returners. He's one of a few names in their backcourt who continues to improve and impress on the PH platform as he heads into his senior season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":3} --> <h3 class="wp-block-heading">7) [player_tooltip player_id='2479784' first='Zi' last='Mcneil'] | Harrells Christian</h3> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mcneil checks in at No. 7 on the list of top returners in assists per game on the NCISAA 2A stage. He saw his assist production grow to 3.1 assists per game during his junior year. He's the engine that makes Harrells Christian go, especially on offense. Look for his assist production to continue to improve with the McKoy duo at his disposal in 2024-25.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":3} --> <h3 class="wp-block-heading">6) [player_tooltip player_id='1428704' first='Kenny' last='Vera'] | Northwood Temple</h3> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Vera is one of a few names in the 2025 class in the NCISAA 2A ranks to keep an eye on this upcoming season. He returns after kicking out 3.3 assists per game in 2023-24 with a whole lot more to prove to college programs across the region. He's much improved heading into his final year of high school basketball as he checks in at sixth among top returners in assists.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":3} --> <h3 class="wp-block-heading">5) [player_tooltip player_id='2276718' first='Haidyn' last='Bell'] | Freedom Christian Academy</h3> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bell is one of a few names to know with Freedom Christian Academy among the top returners in assists per game. The 6-foot-3 guard showed he could score as well as distribute as he checks in at No. 5 on the list with 3.4 assists per game. His ability to make plays for others is as big of a trait as his ability to rebound and score the basketball. He's a prospect for DIII and JUCO programs in the region to get on their radar.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":3} --> <h3 class="wp-block-heading">4) Thomas Honey | Rocky Mount Academy</h3> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Honey is a name in the 2025 class with Rocky Mount Academy to get to know as he continues his development as a playmaker. He saw his production increase on the varsity stage in 2023-24 as he returns after dishing out 4.0 assists per game for the Eagles. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":3} --> <h3 class="wp-block-heading">3) [player_tooltip player_id='1156297' first='Isaac' last='Tatum'] | Fayetteville Academy</h3> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tatum is a budding name to know in the NCISAA 2A with Fayetteville Academy given his exploits at the point guard spot. He's a prospect due for a big senior year after producing 4.2 assists per contest in 2023-24 as a junior. He's a rising name for DII programs in the region to get to know given his frame and motor on the floor. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":3} --> <h3 class="wp-block-heading">2) Xayden Watson | Trinity Christian School</h3> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Watson is an emerging floor general to know on the unsigned senior track with Trinity Christian School in the Fayetteville area. He's a prospect who's shown he can distribute the ball while limiting turnovers with 4.9 assists per game. He put up an AST/TO ratio of 2.1 this past season for the Crusaders and remains a key piece to their success this upcoming campaign. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":3} --> <h3 class="wp-block-heading">1) [player_tooltip player_id='1365507' first='Karsten' last='Swinney'] | Freedom Christian Academy</h3> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Swinney leads the way as the top returner in assists per game in the NCISAA 2A ranks heading into the 2024-25 season. He's a shifty 2025 point guard who's shown he can score at volume but also keep his teammates involved as evidenced by his 5.2 assists per contest average from a season ago. He knows how to utilize his quickness in a number of ways to make things happen and remains a target for DII and DIII programs in the region to get eyes on.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
