The month of September provides a key chance for High Schools to get back to work and display their prospects to College Coaches. Yesterday, I was in Greenville, South Carolina to check out EYBL Scholastic's Legacy Early College. The Lions were short-handed today at practice, but they still had a productive day starting with a shooting warm up followed by 3-on-1 2-on-1, Pick-and-Roll work, positional drills, and full-court 2-on-2. Check out my takeaways from today's Open Practice along with some general information:

Open Practice Takeaways:
- Although it was not a surprise, it was good to see

thriving with his new team. The former Catawba Ridge Copperhead made the move to Greenville this Summer and has instantly made a mark on his new team with his work ethic and balanced skill set. Lance moves smoothly with the ball in his hands navigating pressure and ball screens, makes intelligent passes, has a confident pull-up game, and is a very good defender. Barnes was the best player in the 2-on-2 section of Legacy's practice, making eye-opening plays on both all over the floor. Lance has been offered by Coastal Carolina, UNC Charlotte, Western Carolina, and SC State.
- Another key note from my trip to Greenville was the ceiling of
Braylen Langley

. His offensive skill, athleticism, and length lead me to believe he has the highest potential of anyone on this Legacy Roster and will see time at the 3 and the 4 this season to help his development. Braylen is a high-flying athlete who likes to finish above the rim off lobs and transition dunks, works hard on the offensive glass, has good defensive instincts and versatility, and even showed some good qualities with his playmaking and jump shooting. Langley is also capable of working in the paint and his post moves are extremely quick. He holds offers from Bryant, Youngstown State, and Jacksonville.

is someone who I was excited to see in the gym because of the media attention and collegiate interest he has been receiving after a strong Summer. He was a vocal leader for the Lions making sure everyone was on time and where they needed to be, but he also stood out during drills. Hall is an athletic guard who is strong in attacking the paint and finishing around bigger players. He knocked down shots from all over the floor and has a decent handle, but I think a key improvement spot for DeZhon will be tightening up the handle in small windows and changing the pace of his attacks. Hall will visit Ohio State October 5th, and Wisconsin on November 15th, with Illinois, Texas A&M, and Marquette also heavily involved in his recruitment.

is Legacy's only true Center option on the roster right now. The Fannin County native needs to grow in some areas before facing other EYBL Scholastic bigs, but he showed some good qualities at practice Monday. He has soft hands and will be active on the offensive glass. Angel can also step outside with a comfortable, mechanically-sound, jump shot that has a high release. He has a big frame at 6'9" and the Lions workout plans will help him improve quickly on the court.
- Kwab Jones is a piece for the future with the Lions. Kwab was on their regional team last year, but improved a lot over the offseason and worked his way up to the national team. He is a lefty Shooting Guard who is prolific in the corners but can also pull up in the mid-range if run off the three-point line. Jones is a guy who will provide energy off the bench for Legacy and do the little things to help them in tight games.
